I know in my last post I mentioned using carpeting. I found a link to an example of what I was talking about.

I get phone books all the time sent to my house. I start collecting them now and build some sort of chamber type deal to hold them in place... A lot cheaper then buying a backstop box.. I'd go with that honestly. I know that pre-made targets are quite expensive. I know that old carpeting also works...

I would like to take credit for said youtube comment. Now you've all covered the problem of the round, but what about the backstop? I know one of the worst feelings is having your round go through and beyond the target in a residential area without anything to stop it. If you're not worried about re...

Did you think about hollowing out then capping the piston? I would add a bolt and washer to keep the sealing face well in place too. I wouldn't modify my piston at all. Acrylic can be very brittle and I think that modifying it at all would compromise it's integrity. I already had it crack a little ...

First 2" piston valve

Wow, it's been a year already? It seems like only yesterday I was asking noobish questions, but alas it is complete. It was originally for a physics project. Other students also made potato cannons but they were spray and pray, and in a head to head competition it blew them away. The reason I've not...

I would too, but I don't really have anything to destroy. and also I think I'm different than a lot of the guys on here, because I prefer range over sheer destruction. But, if I find something that I can destroy, and I have a camera at the time I'll at least take pics, if not video.

some full power, un-piston-interrupted video shots would be cool. i'm not sure I understand what you mean. The fix for both is a felt and grease seal, o rings, or other effective obstruction to excess leakage past the piston into the pilot. I had the same issue at times with the Mouse Musket...

Just an update, I got it to work properly and have done a little bit of testing. I also worked on the aesthetics a little bit. so here's a picture. tell me what you think. oh yea, and the Bi-pod is removable and the part it mounts on can act as a fore-grip. http://i875.photobucket.com/albums/ab319/b...

side note, would others mind posting up their bow setups? i'll post mine, if others will. I just don't want to waste my time posting pictures if people don't care, or aren't interested.

Now I don't hunt, however I do shoot target archery competitively, but anyways. There is a archery shop down the road from my house that has the reign broadeheads, and they are beast. They are designed to pulverize bones. heres a link, the reign is at around 3:50. it destroys the competition. (sorry...
