Thanks for the info guys. - Some I understood, some went over my head. I think I found what I was looking for though. Here is the add: Accu-GageĀ® S... Series Tire Gauges Tire gauge holds pressure reading until released. Pushbutton release bleeds air to desired tire pressure. Steel case. Optional rub...

How bout a safety? Epoxy a 3/4" coupler over the top of it so you have to insert a finger to depress and it would protect against accidental discharge. You might need to bevel out a area for it to seat for better bonding or bolt a plug at the end and the igniter thru that then glue the coupler over ...

Well I can't tell you how proud we all are. Like a mother bird releasing her new hatchling for first flight. We beak fed him worms and cultivated the inevitable destruction he was going to wreak on the neighbors. I suspect in the future, advice should come with a 60 mg dose of Ritalin, so we can be ...

All rightee now. "Deadman" here, I guess I had that coming. Thank you for atleast telling me your (financial) limitations so I can stop harping on it. I guess I gathered from your post that with the help of your colorful channel locks (nice pic BTW) you can now complete a shot without risk of loosin...

Thanks for the detailed info and even a photo - Looks like there is alot going on there with that chamber -- love the Cat 5 wiring the spark gaps. Like you illustrate nicely, I pretty much eliminated the plunger types even though there was the inherent memory aspect. They just seem too Willy-Nilly o...

Wellllll... We are having fun now. You know this has been interesting - I have never understood & bashed reality TV, but you know I actually paused the Tivo to come upstairs and see what was new with nosebleed - fully expecting the handle to be a metaphor for the outcome. I must say you have my inte...

Measureing Combustion Pressure (PSI Gauges)
In an effort to perfect the best fuel mix I want to install a peak pressure gauge to basically record the combustion pressure of each shot. My theory is that the gauge would be less anecdotal than my (not so) trained ear. I realize it will differ greatly based on ammo resistance so I will be repeati...

I don't need the backside that has been established, but shoot one of the cap threads and the female threads on the cleanout so I can maybe see what all you will be buying tomorrow. Yes the bullet needs to be tighter - AFTER WE GET THE CAP TO STAY PUT - NOT BEFORE The more resistance the ammo has th...

Ok sorry to double post, but I have now seen your vid - nice job on that BTW. Dramamine not included. You really need a freund or mom to shoot the vid - so we can see what is going on instead of the blair witch thing you showed - We need to see you screw the thing on how many turns etc... Couple thi...

Sounds like your cap is done... Time for a new one. I suspect it was all that sanding. You know the same force that makes it hard to turn is part of the force that holds it together. If that cap blew out 5 times I got a believe you have torn away most of the useful threads. That's why I suggested a ...

Dude, snap out of it! I appreciate your anxiousness and how you don't have time to read (to understand) everything but unless you are doing this with unlimited funds, you might want to. As you will soon learn, mistakes are money. You conquered the spark gap and have what appears to be a formidable w...

I assume by your question, you have now identified the second terminal. Assuming it looks like the photo I sent (of the two in the middle) that is your ground terminal. So YES is the answer and follow the directions DYI gave you. One option would be to use the provided hardware and afix it in your c...

You might try taking a gander at the directions. I only see 1 wire & 1 terminal on the plunger, so either it was a fluke on your photography or you have bought a single wire variety. This will present a whole new set of problems. I think there is an "E-Z Igniter" out there that uses this config. So ...

Some acutally advertise 50 or 100 thousand strokes, but at that amount who is going to count it to call them a liar? Some work forever, some (as you will read in these posts) only last a week, which is why it is important to make it easily replaceable. Yes you can be shocked if you are touching both...

Nice diagram Jimmy101. nosebleedXD the cap thing is nothing new. These things are used (in the real world) for very occasional removal, thus the name "Cleanout". PVC is designed to bond well with itself, so the threads are just doing what they are designed to do. Assuming your using a spray & pray b...
