I can tell you from experience, if you are absolutely dead set on getting a sniper, hands down go with the JG. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=154_157&products_id=2761 This is an EXACT clone of the Tokyo Marui VSR-10. All Internals can be upgraded with the same parts. If you didn't k...

I could, except that this is supposed to be semi-automatic, and that would require more effort than simply pulling a 'trigger'.

Aha, now I understand. Thanks, i will def. give those a shot if the check valve doesn't work. I'd love to try them, its simply a matter of time*effort. Thanks!

You are probably right (as most on this site probably know more about pneumatics than I do), but to be honest I'm not exactly sure what your idea would accomplish....?

Basically, yes. As long as I replace the spring (as mentioned before) it shouldn't be a problem.

Well thats what I'm looking at doing. After all, what's spudding if not that?

And yes I will use a 1", its only about $7.

Actually, I disagree with the check valve part. In my current cannon I use a 1/2inch barrel and the 'reset' valve air is strong enough to propel a 25gram shot about 2 feet (the shot even has 1/8inch space inside the barrel).

original Semi-auto idea

I don't think I have posted this yet (if I have, please correct me). After taking a short break from spudding and then tinkering around a little bit, I have a few new ideas. This is one of them.

(check valve can be built or bought at Ace)

I know what most of you will think when you see this, but hear me out. Check out some of the Chinese websites. Cameras aren't to difficult to build and they sell 640x480 res cameras that are really small very cheap.

Pocket, that sounds like an advanced version of the Works bomb. They've pretty much been outlawed where I live after some kids nearly killed a mailman with one by 'accident'. (They were looking for trouble, but not that much). Blowing up a mailbox is a federal offense anyway. Needless to say our sch...

haha, yeah. The trigger wasn't designed to be great, but believe it or not it does work. The extension spring just has to be really strong, and the part right behind the nick that's holding back the 'firing pin' has to be shaved down a bit.

OOPS, backwards blowgun, that was a stupid mistake. I forgot to flip it in paint, lol. My chamber will indeed be quite small, and the source will be from a 20oz CO2 tank. (It doesn't have to be an extremely fast semi-auto, only about 1 round per second-ish) What I was really concerned about is if th...

Cheap semi-auto

I posted it here rather than the BB section because it would be easier to use as a standard pneumatic cannon without change barrel size. Please take a look at the diagram and tell me if you think it will work. Also, does anyone know where to obtain a check valve such as the one depicted in the digra...
