The BEST Way To Pressurize A Cannon?

I've just begun work on one of these.. As usual, I've drilled that quarter inch hole, and shoved a tire stem valve through for what feels like...

I'm back! And I've been somewhat busy. Today's hurdle is paying bills, which means you get to buy my cannon! Please? I'm hoping to sell it for at least $350. All offers are welcome, as long as they are SOON!! I take payment through Paypal. You can e-mail me at AJPETERSEN@aegisavenger.com if you are ...

Those grappling hooks look awesome!! I think I'm more inclined to go for the while falling through the air functionality approach though. It's possible and I'm totally making it someday. TODAY though, I just took apart my old 12V power drill (dremelled the bajeezus out of it) clamped it to my cannon...

I'm going to try to get my hands on thin steel wire. My biggest problem right now is that the length of wire from the spool to the round inside the barrel is resulting in WAY too much slack. It tugs the wire way too hard, which snaps it. I did this quick draw up to show you all what I'm doing right ...

Just wanted to do a teeny update!! Last night I started making a round. It is a depleted 12 gram C02 cartridge with a small brass hook installed into the pinhole on the cartridge. (the pinhole left in the cartridge after using it). I've wrapped the other end with a bit of electrical tape (snugger fi...

Sprinkler Valve Opens While Pressurizing

Hi all, I recently built an arm mounted spud gun. It has an interchangeable barrel. One barrel is for shooting projectiles, the other is a nozzle for firing water out of the cannon.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k160/icepanthercape1/th_IMG_0240spudfilehelp.jpg

http://...

Grappling Hook Cannon??

I had some spare parts laying around my work bench and decided to group them all together and stare at them until I got an idea. I set out to build a VERY simple marble rifle. After a few test...

Too bad you have to cut it off at 100 psi. I HIGHLY recommend switching to a metal piston valve with metal barrel so you'll be able to run it on WAY more pressure. Thanks for the tip!! I'm becoming really interested in piston valves now.. I found an awesome video that helped me understand the basic...

Well designed and built cannon....looks.... heavy for its size. The barrel looks smaller than 1.5"....1" looks closer. In any case, you can use CO2 from a standard CO2 canister you would use for paintball. Check out Frankrede's shotgun setup. You can get a reasonable look at it on his 600 psi shot....

well if you are just firing pingpong balls, you can shorten the barrel to about 1', and greatly reduce the air used, without hurting your performance in the least. The only reason you would need a barrel that long is if you start using heavier projectiles, which could cause a problem, if mounted di...

You guys are making me want to build 5 duplicates just so I can test each idea haha. I'm still working it out in my head, but I'm toying with the idea of adding some sort of electronic trigger rather than a manual loading mechanism. Here's the simple version: I punch a button on my arm and a ball is...

Hey everyone!! Thanks for all the nice replies. Especially the terminator one. (I think) I didn't mean to advertise, I'm sorry about that. In all honesty I only have like 4 cannons in my garage haha. Just trying to pay for rent and side projects I want to make someday. To be a bit more detailed, the...

Hey everyone, I am in awe of spudfiles. This website is amazing. I was hoping some (or probably all of you) would be able to help me along. I'm in the early stages of starting a website. Among other things, I plan to sell and show off my Pneumatic cannons on my site. http://i87.photobucket.com/album...
