Hmm a quick note I just stumbled on the Thermacell line of butane cartriges. Perfect size but would it contain enough butane for multiple shots?

Propane containment options

Hey guys, been a while since I have written anything here. Question for you guys, I am still working on a smaller scale launcher with a fairly quick ROF but my snag is portability. Instead of having to haul around one of those big green coleman propane tanks I would rather have a small cartridge sim...

Thanks for all the input guys! Ive been doing some reading that was suggested and trying to come up with ideas. For the time being though I meant to ask you guys about the sizes of piezo crystals and how many impacts they can withstand until needing replacement. For my use I could be firing up to 50...

Its not a question of price really, its more a question of convinience. I found a couple articles on electromagnetic power generation and it seems like it can be done, if nothing else just to be different :)

Spark generators

Hey guys, Just wondering about something. If you wanted a setup that did not require batteries or replaceable flints or piezo crystals, how else can you create a spark? Does anyone know how those hand-wind flashlights charge by the cranking motion? My idea is that if you can add in manual labor, the...

Mainly the reason I wanted to go for longer and skinnier was to have a plunger-type-thingy that would vent the waste and bring in fresh air/fuel (I'm trying to make a semi-auto). So in my case for convinience a smaller longer chamber would be better. I could set up something similar for the larger r...

Say the fuel/air mixture could be pulled into the chamber, evenly distributing it, would this still combust the same as a big chamber?

Does size matter? -lol

Question: Does the size, or rather the dimensions of the combustion chamber matter for a good combustion? I.e. Does it have to be a big round combustion chamber or can it be longer and skinnier?

Thanks!

Just to show softwood inversely had more "strength" in a bombardment scenario. As Ragnarok says, hardwood being "hard" doesn't lend itself to actual usage/strength, maybe brittle. That makes alot of sense. I have the right tools and power tools to cut out a basic shape for my stock, I am just worie...

Another thing you can try is finding a side profile of a stock you like, preferably from a high resolution image. Then find the overall length of the gun and scale it to real size on the computer. After that just a matter of printing it off, and tracing the design unto the wood blank. Preferably ju...

Re: Custom Hard Wood Stocks

money This is what I don't want to waste :S I have considered just making one myself but I have a feeling that it is going to turn out very disproportioned and ugly, not to mention if I really screw up the stock it will be money down the drain. I was considering buying a pellet gun stock but again ...

Custom Hard Wood Stocks

Hey guys, anyone know of a shop that would carve a hardwood rifle stock? I want a blank stock tho (i.e not already cut to fit the internals of a gun). I want to be able to fit my own marker parts in the stock. If anyone knows of a shop that offers this service in Canada or would ship from the states...

I left my aluminum cannon outside on a gun table overnight and it was soaking wet from mist by the morning. It didn't rust and never will. The cannon did not explode into a violent mess of chaotic blood spilling goop. I am a scholar in wordiness. Haha thats awesome, chaotic blood spilling goop :) W...
