Thanks for the kind words, but Crna Legija is right, this is around a year old now.. you should have made your own thread with those questions or sent me a PM man. It is all copper tubing with a QEV attached, you can buy them from eBay. As for range, I think I have another video on the same channel ...

News! My barrel actually came through, I'm stoked! No more trawling through ebay and hobby stores looking for reliable tubing! I finished it today, ended up fixing the barrel, using neodymium magnets to hold the projectile (thanks JSR) and dropping the bearings down it. They take about 10 seconds to...

Thanks jmez1996. The scope mounts are secured to a few bolts that I screwed into the stock. It's not the -best- way to do it, but it's definitely sturdy enough to not move unless the thing is dropped. Haven't seen my barrel yet (or a letter from customs). I'm assuming it will be here next week judgi...

Yes they bloody are. Hopefully this one will go through marked as tubing, I doubt customs open every single package with a piece of tube in it to check if it's an airgun barrel, but we'll see. It was only 30 bucks which serves well as an experiment. Worst case scenario I get a letter from cu...

I really like this, the stock looks great and I like the thumb hole. :D It'd be good to see a damage video or something, personally I would have put some kind of sight on it but that's just my opinion, it's your gun so do things the way you want to. 8) In regards to the image metadata, there are a f...

Just an update here, I got my bearings in the mail today to find out that they wouldn't fit in the barrel. After pulling the caliper out I found that the ID of the arrow shafts I bought was 5mm, not 6mm as they said it would be. (FFFUUU.jpg) That said, I'm not going to be able to do much unti...

Even without o-rings, a tight fitting sleeve will have minimal air loss and the benefits in accuracy should be worth it. I learned why I didn't do this today. It's a royal pain in the butt! I didn't think it would be such an ordeal trying to make a breech. I have tried a number of things with 5/8" ...

Thanks guys. :D neodymium magnets I have a hard drive graveyard in my garage that's ripe for the picking, they each contain a few rare earth magnets. :D too much friction Yeah you're right, I'll wait for the ammo to get here and then decide what to do there. load ammo from the rear port Only problem...

stock looks thick Yeah unfortunately due to the size of the fittings for the chamber I couldn't really narrow it down any more than it already is. Next time I might epoxy the ends in to try and keep it down a bit, but it was a learning experience. what do course do you do at tafe? I'd love t...

Thanks wyz2285. :D It is a 1/2" QEV, when I bought it I was planning on using 1/2" copper as the bore without anything sleeved in it, but since then I decided to go for more of a plinker that I could fit generic BBs in as they're cheap and easy to get. I might get a smaller one down the road but thi...

My first airgun (finally) :)
Hi guys, (for tl;dr skip these first 2 paragraphs) I made a few topics ( 1 , 2 ) almost a year ago with some questions on pipe sizing and advice on how to solder copper. Unfortunately I've been incredibly busy since that time, quit my job and ended up going back to TAFE (which is a tertiary educatio...

Customs, I'm not so sure of. I have friends who've returned with bb guns and the like from bali in particular, but I can testify that if you try bring something in by post you probably WILL get caught. I ordered plastic airsoft bb's, and asked the seller to mark them as slingshot ammo. They either ...
