Like this for example : http://www.backyardmetalcasting.com/oilburners09.html or a design where pressurised air pushes the fuel though the atomiser nozzle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sw4qsOWSjrg Id be worried about the high flammabilit...

I just wanted to use it as a quick test bed, since building a mini copper mono tube boiler would cost an arm and a leg at the moment. As for heat I would use a vaporising alcohol burner. :D i think it would be best though to pass a hot flame underneath the radiator, so that the hot gases would rise ...

Steam boiler
Just wondering if this could be used as a steam boiler. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Aluminum-Heat-Exchanger-Radiator-For-PC-CPU-Water-Cooling-System-/190657482218?pt=UK_Computing_Other_Computing_Networking&hash=item2c64124dea#ht_2531wt_1085 Water would be fed in, and the heating source underneat...

Oil Burner design
Id like to use an oil burner for various hobbies that I do , but I need it to be very compact, and so I drew up this (very crude) design. Hopefully you get the design, as it works similar to aerosol cans in the way that the air pushes the fuel up the nozzle, mixing with it as the flow is restricted....

Is not so heavy, 200g Thats still fairly heavy, and with a bullet that looks about an inch in diameter, I think you will find the performance quite disappointing, due to such a dense bullet and the use of a very fast burning gas. Although I would think that a normal combustion would have some troub...

edit down your posts a little to keep the intended use a little more vague. Good point, posts edited Is there a reason you don't want to use a combustion? its not quite as precise as using air, plus I already have most of the fittings for a pneumatic on hand so the cost would be reduced. But mostly...

Well they cant be discussed, mostly so that people don't replicate the recipe and injure themselves and the fact that this isn't that type of forum, so that's why i haven't mentioned what it is or anything about it but its obvious what it is to most people on this forum. My only concern with your de...

pneumatic mortar?
My "magic dust" worked brilliantly when tested yesterday, I would like to build a simple mortar to launch this high into the air. I don't want to rely on something like a lifting powder so I thought a pneumatic would be best? I would need to fire "object" about an inch in diameter and I can use ggdt...
