Hey, thanks for the comments. I am in the process of adding a display and I am trying to figure out an easy way to do the 1/x without losing too much precision. This will make it alot easier to use. If anyone happens to have any assembly routines or algorithms for this I would appreciate it (but thi...

HOWTO: Cheap Chronometer

I have no idea if that is actually what these things are called, but I made a device for my gun which allows me to see the speed in milliseconds per foot. This can be converted into feet per second just by taking the inverse (I didn't want to figure out how to do that automatically for a weekend pro...

Most reducers are DWV. Are you sure that fitting is pressure rated?

Nice cannon, I won't say what has already been said about the tape

Ooooooohh...It's shiny!

Very nice and clean. I don't think I have seen very many hybrids that small. Usually there is a monstrosity of piping and pressure gauges and such around the chamber.

I always use that purple primer stuff from home depot. As far as I know, primer helps the joint to have more strength.

Is that a bowling ball or its smaller, heavier cousin?

And what did you use to draw these dwg's? Isn't that an Autodesk file format? Why not use Inventor or something if you are rich enough or lucky enough to get the 2D cad?

It is well known that rifling or putting a roll axis spin on the projectile increases accuracy and sometimes range, but it has been observed that unless the projectile has fins or wings or something, the time from when it is fired to when it hits the ground is equal to the time if it was dropped fro...

I just discovered why I had the piston inverted (the cup side towards the barrel). If I un-invert the piston, there will not be enough space for the piston to move around. Also, I know that a piston travel of half the barrel diameter is a good or minimum amount (not sure which), but does this extend...

The only problem I can foresee with this is that since my barrel is .5", it makes it hard to find a screw small enough to still get a good seal and at the same time not being so small that the rubber rips right off. Also, my barrel is slightly crooked, due to a failed experiment in trying to flare o...

Kind of off topic, but could this be used to drive a tesla coil? My dad built a tesla coil during college and used a digital 'something' to resonate the coil. Most people in his used a sparkgap, so he got a D on the project even though it was more stable then the others.

They (as in the bottling companies like Coca-Cola) have 3L bottles with a wide mouth. Those caps are very big.

If possible, I would switch to using 3/8" brakeline tubing since it has about .25-.5mm of clearance, which would allow for cheap deformed bb's.

A sanded down 1' endcap works with a relatively tight seal

A 3L bottle cap may work
