Re: What is this compound on these threads?
As in if I thread it into a female portion those two will be permanently fused? No. It's permanent in that it's "make once" - it won't seal a joint that's repeatedly assembled and disassembled. Ahh I see. So if I were to assemble and then disassemble the joint what should I do to reseal it? Can I s...

Re: What is this compound on these threads?
http://www.permatex.com/products-2/product-categories/thread-compounds/thread-sealants There are tons of products out there. I just use Araldite :) of course it's only good for permanent joins, as are these sealants. Wait so is the sealant that came on my threads permanent? As in if I thread it int...

What is this compound on these threads?
I bought this check valve online a few days ago and the threads had this red pre-applied goop on the threads. I asked the seller what it is but they haven't replied, so I'm assuming that they don't know. My guess is that it is some kind of thread sealant? It is hardened but the mating threads can st...

Why don't you want a gauge? You can always remove it and blank the port off. There are some pretty funky 600 psi shock pumps out there these days... http://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/accessories-extras-c190/pumps-c65/scott-pro-600-shock-pump-p23616 Never tried them personally though. I already have ...

Good shock pumps?
I want to mount a shock pump onto my "pneumatic accelerator" but all of the ones that I find have a gauge on them. Do you guys know of any good shock pumps that don't have a pressure gauge? Or if there is some alternative I would like to hear it. I would build one myself but I fear that I could not ...

Places to find piston pump heads?
I've seen threads about people making homemade high pressure pumps and I want to make one as well. The only problem that I'm having is that I have no idea where I can find a piston pump head that could use a floating O-ring with and could be screwed onto a long threaded rod.
Any help?

Good shock pumps to buy?
I'm planning on buying a shock pump for my new QEV/Slide valve combo.
Hopefully I can find one with a long draw.
Does anybody have any recommendations?
I was considering making a homemade pump but it seemed like it would be too hard to get the perfect seal and such.

shock pump its just like a normal pump but with a small surface area piston so you can get high pressure. only good for small chambers, under 50ml really. i would look at getting a fridge compressor, I hit 900psi with my one. you can use Paintball Quick Disconnect for a fill valve. that eBay looks ...

Thank you for all the replies! The reason for me using a large volume tank, and for wanting to use a solenoid valve was that I was planning on messing with semi-auto features. I realize now that that is not possible now because solenoid valves take a time to actually work. For instance, I was plann...
