jUST TO CLARIFY: This guy "Thunderlord" He paid me to machine some parts for his stuff. Then he passed away last year (in a full-blown "fire-fight" I heard). Later I recieved an inheritance , as well as a bunch of stuff he'd left me. It's all very weird to me. I am just here trying to put the "puzzl...

Well GOOOSH!!! That's not a very nice thing to write when somebody takes the time to seperate paragraphs ,so they'll be easier on the eyes. As for this "Thunderlord" guy, I remember back when I was lurking here, and he gave me some VERY helpfull information about "linear motors". I think his "Thunde...

IF you use a yellow color, "Ideal" brand wire-nut, As the "base" rather than those flimsy plastic insulin things, It will be a bit more "substanstial" IMO. The diameter is about exactly the same as an AA battery. IF you want more velocity you are going to need higher pressure. Bottom line ,IMO. Pric...

Underwater Shooting Vids:
This guy is INSANE. But I do like his sense of humor (It's similar to mine really): Here's a few (there are MORE on there): HERE HERE and HERE For example. Doesn't seem to where any earplugs, so I don't know how the heck he doesn't blow his eardums out??? Besides it seems pretty stupid since a proje...

You could probably insulate the wires or I Imagine: THIS!!!! I think some type of car cables would be best. But I'm not certain. A multi-spark gap strip would be nice, get more (faster) ignition in the chamber on ignition. But I'm not certain. For now I use a large chamber volume, and actually HOPE ...

Hahaha! through the tail-pipe , really!!! What did he do around the "headlights" I wonder? I'm about to sue my wife;s groina...

...You must really be quite sick. I re-opened this so you can clarify your intentions with this topic. I'm still waiting for that. Yeah , I was quite sick. My two daughters seem to be little germ "carriers" sometimes... To clarify my intentions, I was simply stating ballistics is ALL. I mean If I'm...

If you're using "Hairspray" and getting results, Probably that brand uses propane for the "propellant" gas. The rest is sticky residue that just makes a mess. A "spray and pray" is always just that...You spray some (propellant or gasoline drops) in and "pray" it will fire. SO YES, use propane and a ...

I left school half way through my last year(last year 2011) after I realised that I wasn't doing anything of interest there. Did a few short courses for the rest of the year including welding, plumbing, joinery, painting and plastering, and carpentry just to see what i wanted to do this year. Now I...

tHANKS BTB! I apologize to have gotten off "on a bad foot" with yourself. You are one of my all-time most awesome "spudders", So it was a little disapointing to have offended you BTB. I want to share my sort of "Venturi" based ideas. Like stated earlier I believe the "key" is with JSR's "Ball-detent...

awesome! Looks like a very large chamber for "C:B ratio" , but it works. Maybe you could just sleeve the barrel with rolled metal, like that roofing flash stuff(?) (still would have a small gap, but perhaps it could be rolled in a way that it will rifle the ball(?)) What type of plastic is the pisto...

I like it. Looks like a great "classic" shooter. Personally, I like using wire-nuts (electrical connectors) for the base of ammo for copper stuff. They can be used alone, or a bolt added, or even epoxied on end of an arrow. (Yellow or Red "Ideal" brand are my favorites)... Working on a combustion ,t...
