I pulled the wire out of electrical cables, and used it as air hose once. It didn't work amazingly well...

How to take apart quick-disconnects

Hi everyone!, The other day I suddenly got this urge to take something apart, and a quick-disconnect sitting on my workbench caught my eye. The simple, yet amazing quick-disconnect is something almost every spudder is familiar with, and most of us only vaguely know how it really works. Anyway maybe ...

I agree with JSR, it's a VERY satisfying bang. Good job! :P Just wait till I achieve that with a pneumatic cannon... :D

But if you get the proper chamber to barrel ratio then the noise should be minimal any way, right? :?

@JSR Wow! A lathe and a mill! I only dream about those! What brand are they? What's so bad about cutting threads? I have to buy threads  Also, This may be insulting to you but the screw is one of the six simple machines and epoxy is not a simple machine. I guess that shows how good I am a...

@wyz2285 Thanks! Do you use it all up in one afternoon? or how long does it last. And one more question, If you pump a 0.5 liter tank up to 3000 PSI then you regulate that down to 1500 PSI, will that give you 1 liter of 1500 PSI air?

@ WarHead052 Sure you "can" pilot a large piston with a schrader valve, but if you are looking for performance, power, or good range you probably should use a bigger pilot, And everyone knows that only JSR can get a piston as good as you describe

@beastmode986 You should know, if you ask JSR a question your going to need epoxy - lots of epoxy. :D Not that I'm against epoxy...

Both of the designs will work well. The one with the schrader valve cant be very big because a schrader valve is only a good pilot for really small piston valves. The one that you say shouldn't be finished is actually probably your best bet. Here's a link to another person who built one (it's called...
