Re: Hammer Valve Question
To broaden the question, can push button valves generally be used with airflow in either direction?

Hammer Valve Question
I am planning on using this push-button valve as a hammer valve:

My question is can the input and output ports be reversed? E.g. does it matter which side the pressure is attached to

3D Printed Nerf Gun
Latest fun project. I drew up the files for the gun in CAD and printed them out and assembled them. The only parts that aren't printed are the o-ring, PVC, and hose clamps. In the future I plan to either epoxy it together or make some sort of modification to the design that will let me remove the un...

Re: $55 Co2 Rig
Hate to be dredging up an old topic, but I've been using the reg with my completed airsoft gun for a few months now, and I have to say it works great. I have a paintball 'belt' that the tank goes in so that it is upright to avoid problems with co2 in the reg. The only problem I had was with a buildu...

It's a store-bought qev valve.

Re: QEV, 3 way valve, slide valve help
Ah. Due to how my trigger is attached to the slide valve, the friction is increased by a leverage force to the point that the return spring won't return the trigger. I then did some experimenting with a flow regulator/restrictor and blowgun valve, the results were way better. At 90 psi I was getting...

Re: QEV, 3 way valve, slide valve help
But shouldn't a slide valve be balanced? or is it balanced, but just more friction?

Really dumb QEV piston question
On a QEV with umbrella shaped piston, which way does the piston face?

Re: QEV, 3 way valve, slide valve help
I opened the qev, and the piston is fine. I didn't lube it with anything bad, but some gunk had built up from lubing the slide valve. So i cleaned the qev out, cleaned the slide valve out, and removed a few cc's of dead space from my loading mech. In the process i broke something, so the epoxy is cu...

Sorry for double post, but does anyone know a reason for a drastic power loss in a qev slide valve setup? Same pressure

Re: $55 Co2 Rig
The queston is, can you screw the reg onto the tank, and then the remote line on top of that? You could, but that's not really the point. Having the hose before the reg keeps harmful liquid c02 from getting in the mechanism. I used some standard air hose and put the bottle and reg in a backpack for...

Re: First Build: Questions on Pressurization
A faster pilot equals a faster piston valve, but as long as you don't use something tiny for a large piston valve (like a blowgun), it's pretty much up to how much money you want to put into it. Yes, a sprinkler valve would actuate the piston valve faster than a ball valve, and yes it's a good idea ...

Re: First Build: Questions on Pressurization
Good luck even opening a 1.5 inch ball valve. I got one for my burst disk cannon, but to no avail. You couldn't open it without some sort of 2 foot long lever. for a piston valve, the pilot valve (the ball valve in your case) doesn't need to be as large as the main valve, a 3/4 ball valve should wor...
