As an aside, if you have a commercial plumbing supply house near you most have sch 80 steel nipples/fittings in stock and in my experience are much cheaper than McMaster.

i would guess your leaks come from pvc glued to abs. Most plumbing codes do not allow it even for non pressure drainage as it is not a secure joint. PVC and ABS will not properly solvent weld together. You will need to use all pvc or all abs with the glued joints.

That pressure washer hose would be a good option. Very similar to hydraulic hose. I believe most of the commercial stuff actaully has regular 3/8 pipe thread. The ones sold with home use electric units use a 22mm thread.

Clear Pvc with a nylon braid? That stuff is only rated for maybe 20 bar at the highest. You won’t find any 40 bar rated tubing at a hardware store. Easiest locally available would probably be hydraulic hose.

Huh, link works for me. Picture looks kinda like a general one of a smaller fitting but they have them in both 1-1/2” and 2” sizes as well as the typical smaller sizes. They’re compression type fittings.

Ohh the current is not a worry. I’ve built the setup to run a 25hp motor and have a 200a service so aside from the slightly larger power bill not an issue.

I do have a vfd already actaully, as well as a 240-480 transformer. It’s just more to set up than if i has a single phase transformer. Then again, the compressor weighs 500 lbs so mobility is already pretty moot.

Ha, I didn’t even notice the dog before. This was before I picked it up. Yes, electric, 440 volt 3 phase. I would swap the motor for single phase however it’s IEC so finding a single phase in that frame is highly unlikely.

McMaster I found to be much higher on steel than a lot of places, their pvc is high but not quite as bad, ok for a couple fittings. But yeah, I would look for a commercial plumbing supplier, mine ordered both the schedules 80 pvc and steel fittings for me no problem.

As I mentioned I found steel to be cheaper than pvc. More specifically sch 40 steel cheaper than sch 80 pvc and will withstand the pressure needed for 10x.
