Re: Bought BSPT fittings...and I live in USA?
I think the QEV's you bought are BSP threaded, the G is another way to write this. ( http://www.newmantools.com/taps/bsp.htm ) This means that they are parallel and not tapered like the BSPT and NPT fittings. It might work but i can't give any guarantees about safety. Also the 'P' and 'A' port are t...

Re: Question concerning testing my ''pressure vessel''
Thanks for the quick reply! That could indeed be a problem for me. I only have my fridge compressor to reach the pressures that i want to achieve. This may cause the pressure to rise too quick. I do have a pneumatic quick connect tube which is 2,5mm ID and has a length of about 4,5 m. A quick calcul...

Question concerning testing my ''pressure vessel''
Hi guys, In my current setup, i am using a fire extinguisher as a ''pressure vessel''. i have a fridge compressor connected to it using quick connect. It has a 12 bar pop-off valve and a manometer which goes up to 16 bar. Currently i'm not upping the pressure any higher then 7 bar for ''safety reaso...

Re: Solenoid Problems
Just to make sure i wont make the same mistake again:D When i buy this 5/2 solenoid valve, i basically cant do it wrong as long as i seal one of the ports so the air supply wont leak out? Re: Solenoid Problems
If i attach the air supply to the R port it still does not work. I believe it is because the piston isnt fully symmetrical. Also inside of the valve there is a small hole, i believe that it is there to pilot the valve because it connects with the hole(s) in the side of the valve that connect to the ...

Re: Solenoid Problems
Thanks man, I really appreciate your help! that article really helped. It was easy to switch the piston around. I changed to a NO solenoid valve. But....... it is still leaking out of the R port when it is at rest. the leaking sound disappers when I activate the valve. which is exactly the same as w...

Re: Solenoid Problems
But why does it matter whether I use the P or the R port? Or is ot because i dont fully understand how this valve is working?:)

Solenoid Problems
Hi guys! :albino: After using a spring return 3-way-2-position valve for a while to pilot my QEV, I decided to order a solenoid valve. It came in yesterday and I immediately tried to install it. It was my first time messing around with wires and all..... but I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly....

Re: Reloading Problems, semi automatic airgun
you can use Ts (a kind of fitting that well looks like the letter T) to make a something that performs the same function. The biggest problem is finding the fittings in the right size. You are unlikely to find them in exactly the right size for you but you can insert metal tubes inside them to reac...

Reloading Problems, semi automatic airgun
Hi guys, So i have come a long way since my last post. i've read a lot about pneumatic guns on this forum and that really helped. i checked out the guns of Poland_Spud and jules56, those guns inspired me to make the setup i currently have. it's not finished just yet though. i found myself a decent a...

Semi-auto firing mechanism
Hi! I am working on a semi-automatic pneumatic gun for some time now and i need help with designing the semi-auto loading system. I did some research and i found several ways to achieve semi auto, still i'm not sure what a reliable and effective way is to construct such a mechanism. I have an old fi...
