More than adequate. My oxy acetylene spud gun is made of aluminum pipe and has been very reliable for years. That pipe is rated for high pressure steam . I've also made one from PVC but it was very nerve wrecking. I just see yours being pretty heavy. Lol

The Air Force just did a test using a bunch of different fuels and acetylene one by a mile. I have been using acetylene in my spud guns for years without any ill results.
