ahh i think i understand i forgot to take into account that 1psi in a large tank is worth more in a smaller tank, and when the regulator is open therefore making one big tank (both tanks combined for a split second before the small tank is filled again) the small regulated tank only takes very littl...

i realise now that a large and a small reservoir at the same psi cant give the same amount of shots. but why?
How is it that so little of the large reservoirs pressure is taken after each shot??? damn i wish i knew more about the physics governing pressure!

but thanks alot for your help.

regulation help

ok guys i wanna make a marble gun that shoots more than once without having to pressurize again. The design i first thought of was to have the larger reservoir chamber -> regulator -> regulated firing chamber -> sprinkler valve ->barrel. Though what i don't understand is what is the point of having ...

is that a schrader adapter i see at the bottom of that trigger? if so that would be blocking and therefore stopping the air from being exhausted.

im making a cannon nearly exact to this one (except with a 1/2 inch barrel) and i was wondering does it matter where you stick the blowgun? because this is the first co-axial that ive seen that has the blowgun on the side of the pipe rather than the direct back (or endcap).

co-axial diaphragm

i have a question about a co-axial pneamatic im building. im not sure were to put the schrader adapter, i have heard that if u put it behind the diaphragm at the back of the gun then when u disconnect the pump it will fire. does it matter were i stick it? by the way it has a 2" chamber and a ".5 inc...

i chose that type of design primarily caus i wanted it to look cool, have a nifty shoulder rest and a fairly small chamber so i didnt have pump much. since marbles are 13mm and the barrel is 15mm i put a bit of tape round my marble to get a good seal, this then of course makes them very innaccurate ...

Marble rifle

this is my newly created marble gun. it has an airtight breech loader (kinda ghettoish though). i made this one after my last pneumatic exploded, plumming store told me that dwv was pressure rated to 130psi, pfft my ass it was! blew up cutting my ankle pretty good! this time i got class 12 (sch40) a...

but what if it is for quite a small cannon? wouldnt the air rush out the sprinkler valve too quick and therefore stopping flow to the barrel? anyway, what valve is best for a small chamber capacity?

which is faster

which is faster, a homemade piston assembly, or a modded sprinkler valve?

i just took mine straight out and it works fine, but if too much air is venting out of the blowgun instead of the barrel then i probably wouldnt even notice since i have only one pneumatic and therefore nothing to compare power with. does this make it lose much power?

made a breach loader; works great. the guy at the plumming supplies store reckoned the pipe was pressure rated, even though it didnt say so on the piping. just to be safe im gonna re-do the whole chamber.

i dont know ifs its schedule 40 or not; although it says on the piping that its DWV; does that mean its schedule 40?

PVC Marble Sniper

This is my first pneumatic cannon. It has a 1/2 inch metre long barrel, almost perfect for marbles. Due to the pvc glue drying too quickly i was unable to give a half twist for the main body connection, therefore creating a few leaks (hence the reason for the all the glue crap round the chamber). At...
