I appreciate all the input. Golf balls are certainly a consideration for ammunition, however my main reasoning behind pykrete was its ease of manufacturing on a somewhat large scale, cost, and being reasonably uniform. I thought about golf balls but i have yet to find a good source for them, and the...

My main goal is for massive destruction and well more importantly a uniform cheap projectile so it can work well when being loaded. Pykrete keeps its form for a fair amount of time so shouldn't melt within the time frame I'm looking at. If there's any other "cheap" 2" or 1"-1/2" uniform projectiles ...

High ROF Propane Gatling Cannon, 2" Pykrete Slugs
Well hello all, its been some time since I've posted on this site so forgive me if I'm not "up" with whats new in the spud gun world. Alrighty well the title basically says its all. I'm planning on building a propane powered gatling cannon capable of reaching 2 shots per second. Now yes this is by n...

Stun Gun Schematic
OK, I need a bit of help here. Ive been looking for plans on the net to build myself some kind of stun-gun to use as an ignition source for my next cannon. My next cannon will necessitate ignition every second or less for up to an interval of probably never more than a minute or two. This is of cour...

I simply use a 1" one way valve (all plastic $3) I found at the local hardware store end embedded that in my clean out end cap. Then attached a piece of garden hose to the one way valve and to a small matres inflator, works great, simply put your ammo in, inject the propane, and you don't even have ...

STHORNE - Honestly I have no idea what the over all price was, I found the ball valves out in the garage, the fittings at many different stores, and other tings lying around the house. If I was to give an estimate I'd say maybe around $70 CND, probably a bit more. BigBob - lol, yea the CB ration is ...

Self Venting, Metered, New Cannon
Hey all! Its been quite some time since Ive posted, made a cannon, or even been on the site, however, things have been a little boring so I decided to make another cannon. Now its definitely not the best looking cannon at the moment, as its held together by carpet and electrical tape. I have some me...

I don't really think pouring bb's out of the plane would work to well because there terminal velocity probably isn't very fast so you may not even feel them hit you. I was planning on doing something similar to this with a paintball grenade bomber, however funds have run short. I think your best bet...

I have been considering this idea for a long time however I keep coming back to the same conclusion, the only way to do it would be to use an electric light weight plane. Using a gas powered one would be just do dangerous if you lose control during a low altitude fly over, you could seriously hurt o...

Are you sure there illegal? Where did you hear that? Anyway as long as you don't live in a highly populated area your fine, no cops will show up at your door. I agree that if you went to a park that cops would deffinetley show up there. My grandfather's friend had a cannon and the cops took it, but ...

I don't know about the US but up here in Canada I get my KnO3 from the local co-op farm supply department. Doesn't raise any questions, I will usually drag my dad with me so he can make the purchase as well. If you want you can buy it off of eBay or some online hydroponic stores, be aware though tha...
