If you are interested in this subject then i highly recomend "Angels and Demons" by dan brown, it is a fictional story about this very topic. Part of the story even takes place at CERN.

I would guess that my small engine would produce about 4-5 lbs of thrust.
I am going to try and mount this setup to a toy car for a school project. I will fill a paintball tank with oxygen and then mount it all to a toy car.

Any Suggestions?

Rubber Powered Rocket engine

I just tested this crude prototype and it produced an impressive amount of thrust for its size. It is constructed of a peice of half inch pipe about 6 inches long. I welded a 1/4" plate with a small hole in it to one end of the pipe and i threded the other end with a standard 1/2"pipe tap. I then th...

Beverage regulators generally dont have pop off valves set that low, the pop of valves are ussually designed for tank over pressure (i.e. set at over 900psi) I have had great luck with beverage regulators in my projects and they should work well for you unless you plan on running pressures higher th...

I have build many metal guns, however PVC is faster, cheaper, and easyer to work with.

These guns will be used by primarily kids (as snow shooters) and will have pop off valves. This safety precautioin is in case one is dropped.

PVC Detonation Protection

I have not been active in the forums for quite some time now because, as you may remember, my father was in an acident regarding pneumatic spud cannons which ultimately caused him to loose his left eye. I would now like to start making cannons again. I need to make sure that they are completely expl...

I used the Kegerator because it was only 20 bucks and I did not have very many size restrictions.

It is not common practice to post in posts that are dated very long ago, it will annoy some of the senior members. Next time just PM me if you have a question, I will be happy to answer anything. :D

I managed to launch a water rocket into a neighbour's garden by mistake some time back - the "Bloody HELL, I didn't think it would go that far" problem. (But some people have the "Holy crap, I didn't realise it would go through my shed" problem instead) In future, all tests were pointed in a differ...

Well, first of all thank you for your interest. :D @petezaria, Im not really into the rice rocket scene, mainly because I can get so much more power out of eight cylenders than just four or six. 9I also couldent afford a new car to just tare into.) I will try and get it on a tire dyno after the engi...
