ive got a thick white one and i only use oneand half layer and test it in the pool for bubbles and i almost always get a perfect seal

dont worry ive already silver soldered it last week
the question was how to make the barrel sit exactly inside the middle of the chamber so the piston seals... no more problems with it.
this is now an old topic as ive fixed it up

its a coaxial, the the barrel is only sticking out about 2 cm from the chamber

piston seals

ive been using hot glue plug as a piston and it seals great with a 1/4" ball valve as the pilot but because i usualy open the valve up fully and pretty fast (not purposly) when filling the chamber the barrel (1/2" copper) has starded diging into the got glue (from slaming up againt and makes in kind...

use ur researchign skills there are manny on the net. im not going to find one for you because you will learn alot more your self although barrel sealing valves are much easier and look the same just upside-down to a chamber sealing valve

is that glue common or did u need to go plumbing place because in australia there is much more limited product or atleast if u want to find somthing good u needa go specialist which is usoaly bit more pricey

a coke bottle can be safely pumped to 100 psi (i have always been to scared though) as long as its in good condition and thats 600 ml, dont know bout the others but ur 1 in pipe actoaly does sound like pressure pipe as i have one on my gum nut cannon ( as barrel ). but u can always take a little bit...

if its thick white pipe its usoaly pressure rated if its slightly grey ish and feels pretty light its usoaly dwv
that is if theres nothing written on it
