i have a coaxial and have not been able to determine accurate distance. As an avid golfer as well i can tell distance pretty good. the lack of a flat and open range long enough for a good accurate distance do proibits such. but i can tell you that i lose sight of the ball as it is still gaining alti...

as said by Da Pneu Kid a 3 inch end cap fits perfectly withing 4 inch pipe. Mine also uses this as a piston on my 4 inch coax.

1.5" is just a tad smaller than the diameter of the inside of the barrel. Ill make it just a little smaller and use a washer as I said before

Im just going to go with thicker neoprene and the washer. The rubber pipe to pipe wouldn't work, I would need to cut the length of the barrel down.

The black thing next to the cannon is the pressure gauge which is attached. The gasket material isn't old at all. I bought a 6"X6" sheet when I bought the fittings. Thanks for the washer idea I will be adding it shortly.

I cut off just under an inch. I used a hose clamp and bar clamps and the cutting and "tedious" sleeving took only 15 minutes. I must say a hose clamp keeps the pipe almost exactly circular, this is a big help.

I attempted another mock with much greater success this time. NO GAP!! The golf ball is still a tight fit, but it seems as though it will work. Now I can proceed with the real project, a 4 inch coaxial. Building to begin soon, I already have the fittings just need the pipe. This sleeved pipe is heav...

I will try this again and make the gap smaller. I have tried other golf balls that I have, five gallon bucket full, none that I tried fit. The inner pipe is fully incased in the outer. This time I will try a little bigger piece of pipe as well.

From other posts I have read, this is a plausible way to make a golfball barrel. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. In the second picture it looks as though the golfball would fit just fine on the vertical plane, but not on the horizontal. Does anyone know if this is caus...

troubles with sleeving barrel

I took two pieces of sch 40 scrap 2 inch that I had laying around and quickly sleeved them together to make sure I could do it correctly before I did it for the actual barrel of my gun. I am glad now that I did. the barrel seems to be too small for the golf ball. I can force it through, but i really...
