Sounds like a bunch of snot noeses with an umbilical cord to their computer and nothing better to do than to diss others because they are too lazy/uninformed to do anything else with their lives.

I'm not ready to say that it's a completely useless idea.

I never said "self sustaining" or "perpetual motion", just to be clear. Yes it is an energy conversion. Electricity is being used to make more fuel for the engine plus an added oxidizer. Gasoline is not as cheap as water (water's free where I live).

Very interesting points about the energy losses. However, if we had a big enough generator to actually run the car, independent of gasoline, the engine would not require all of the gas, all of the time (when the car coasts or decelerates to a stop). The energy loss is still a valid point though. The...

I suppose you've got a point about the embrittlement; It still worries me though, I have a new car. About the needle valve in the lawn mower, I don't think it's gonna work that way. With gaseous fuels an engine needs more of a flow meter rather than a needle valve designed for fluids. Another thing ...

I built a rather large one for someone I know. With the volume of gas it makes it would probably run a car engine at idle (no gasoline). They do work, however, I am a little weary of hooking it to something worth any value because of hydrogen embrittlement, which may or may not exist in such an appl...

If you're making a piston, maybe shopping bags could work (I think they are polyethylene). Some plastics can be melted and re-formed/cast and others can't. The temperature used is higher than boiling water but not too high or the plastic will start to smoke. You would need a mold of some metal and b...

Ahh yes, cleaning the griddle. I used to be a chef at a Bistro and we had this crazy stuff to clean the flat-top. It was so strong it we had to use it after we closed because of the smell. It worked really good though, probably would eat the soles off your shoes.

I would consider improving flow from the valves to the barrel. It looks rather constricted at this point. A manifold made of 2" might help out. I as well think you should use a fourth sprinkler valve to trigger the other three.

In Canada you might find it at a Home Depot, Rona and just maybe at Canadian Tire.

Well, I remember, years ago (maybe 8 years or so) there "was a gas price war" in eastern Canada. At that time I remember paying something like $0.12/liter. Seems like it was almost free looking at the prices today.

I don't see any problems, the epoxy is pretty much only a sealant for that application. You should be fine, just as long a the bushing stays in place.
