Re: A new look at combustion cartridge Spud guns

Some interesting developments found on YouTube, an atmospheric pressure combustion cartridge gun that uses hydrogen and oxygen generated by electrolysis, and on top of it firing an "explosive shell" that also contains the same gas mixture with a piezo ignitor :o https://youtu.be/WlArhyaR8y8 https://...

Great stuff, it never ceases to please me to see your repeaters functioning so well! I look forward to the new project :)

Re: fl(air) gun - mechanically locked pneumatic cartridge for a 26.5mm flare gun

"There may not be poets, but there will ALWAYS be poetry" :) Well said :D Here is what the new design looks like internally, roughly to scale: https://i.imgur.com/JdRFF9d.png The piston locking balls are now kept in place with a central ball, with the latter's centerline slightly biased to the rear...

Re: fl(air) gun - mechanically locked pneumatic cartridge for a 26.5mm flare gun

Shame it's so quite in here. Ah well, the tinkering continues and holes are still being blasted though innocent cans :D Here is a second version of the flare gun cartridge with a steel chamber and aluminum piston. Fitted with a 6 inch long 0.75 cal barrel it's pushing empty 12 gram CO2 capsules at j...

Re: RC Car smoke grenade launcher

Welcome to the forum and interest project you have in mind. In order to get the best advice it would be helpful to share what sort of tools and materials you have available, what is relevant for a fully equipped CNC machine shop will not be if you are epoxying plumbing fittings together, and your bu...

Re: GGDT and HGDT

Mr Hall might jump in to correct me but here is my understanding: What is the difference between Insulated and Adiabatic in "Insulation" dropdown menu? A polymer chamber would be "insulated" and less likely to absorb heat than a metal chamber with would be "adiabatic". Any heat used to heat up the c...

Re: It's been 11 years...

I had an account here in 2013, and had so many builds to try out but no money. Now I'm financially stable but I lack innovation lol. A tale as old as time :D Have a look through the forum, there has been quite a bit of innovation in the hybrid department especially. I've mostly been bringing older ...

How did I miss this? I think new users have to be manually approved and therefore there might be a delay between post date and the day it is actually visible. Hello everyone, I am from Asia and I have been a fan of this forum. Recently, I have started to try DIY projects. As English is not my nativ...

I’m open to ideas of some design changes….
How is the barrel attached to the tank? Basically if you can get a union between the two then fitting a burst disk should be easy, and there's your hybrid.

Re: GGDT/HGDT Request Thread

I installed HGDT, but the link to usage page is broken. So it is, the only person I can think of who would have the documentation is creator D_Hall so you might want to send him a private message, otherwise if you have any specific questions feel free to post them here and I'm sure you will get the...

SpudFiles pages taking a long time to load?

In the past few days I've noticed that SpudFiles pages are taking about ten seconds to load, it's the same from different locations and with different devices, is everyone else experiencing the same?

Re: Hybrid handgun with rupture disc

Excellent work as always, as I've said privately the fact that you've made it work consistently would be admirable even if looked like a bunch of random parts thrown together, but you've also managed to make it neat and stylish, kudos! The trigger guard integrated in the pump handle is really a nice...

Got a bit too drunk last night, woke up this morning with a new cannon.
I hate it when that happens :D

I've heard of posting under the influence but this is something else!

With those material specifications it's a shame not to go a little hybrid, even a low mix would be impressive.
