No. I was just adding this "cannon" to the site. Sorry if that wasn't obvious. I just wasn't sure where to put it. I didn't think it belonged in the pneumatic showcase forum because it shoots due to a lack of pressure. Unless you count the rapid moving air coming in to fill the tube from behind as t...

Class Project

Hey all. Didn't exactly know where to put this, so if it needs moved, do it. For one of my classes I had to come up with a way to model the flight of a projectile out of a vacuum cannon. We had to use MatLab, a computer programming software, to come up with the height of the front and back of the ca...

Yeah. I'm just going to deal with it. I'm using a tight bore 6.02mm airsoft barrel. The performance is good enough that I don't care about those first few bb's anymore.

The valve seals off the barrel from the pressure. You pressurize the area behind the piston (sealing it to the barrel), and the chamber (the air that you use to force the projectile out of the barrel). When you release the pressure behind the piston, it slams back, letting the chambered air out of t...

The Mauler valves kick butt. Wow. I have a dual Mauler launcher that will send a potato over half a mile (distance found using GoogleMap) The valves are great and the service is even better. My rubber seals tore. I told Gort about it, and he had replacement seals coming to me. Great kid, great valve.
