Well first of all it would be launched from a pneumatic gun. The whole idea is that instead of wasting a lot of energy moving the rocket from 0-45mph or so, the engine kicks in then and further accelerates the rocket. This could get it going fairly quickly. I was thinking the same thing for an accel...

1. Use a qev, they are better than sprinkler valves (I just got a qev and it easily beats my old sprinkler) 2. Silencers will cut down on the noise, but you have to build it right. There are more than enough online resources to figure it out. 3. Plastic welds can be used to make a stock or accessori...

If you want to do co2 safely use an anti-siphon tank. They are specifically designed to keep liquid from coming out. (ask the paintball store about an anti-siphon. Also someone recently found a co2 regulator that is meant to run air tools, it stops at 120psi and you can choose anywhere from 0-120 by...

Rocket Launcher
Has anyone sucessfully launched a rocket out of a spud gun, then had it ignite/take off in mid air? I think I could wire up a photoresistor to an ignitor circuit so when the rocket leaves the barrel it would launch itself. Another idea was to use an accelerometer/mercury switch but the first is to e...

(google it) Also I had some nice preliminary results packing the parachute in real tight and attaching a streamer to the end of it. The streamer eventually pulls the chute out, kind of like a drouge chut...

If you are going to use paintball gear go with HPA/co2 like spudzinger said (you only need one, and there are belts designed to hold it behind your back). I would go with 2x 3" pipes, they will hold alot more then the same length of 2" pipe, but are easier to find fittings for and are more compact t...
