Hybrid Aluminum Pipe Warping

I have an aluminum pipe that I sent for milling. This pipe is the body of my semi-auto cartridge-fed hybrid and I milled it because I had to cut a hole for the spent-cartridge ejection port. After I received my milled pipe from the workshop, my cartridge no longer slides through it (it gets stuck so...

Im not really sure what to do, I doubt I will get the power that I want from the size of cartridge Im planning on using. (around the .50 BMG size) So my thoughts have turned to a high mix hybrid. Using the shape of a firearm cartridge, could I use some kind of piston? EDIT: Modelling roughly the sa...

I didn't expect the friction seal to hold up to 200 psi. This gives me a lot of hope for my own friction seal. When will the long awaited video be up?!
we'll see this evening.
EDIT *** Opps, didn't see that.

EVENING IT SHALL BE (:

Wow the diameter is 1/4 inch? That's really small! And 200 psi is really sexy.

well the idea behind it is not to have to use cartirdges in the first place... But the thing is that I want to have a working self-loading cartridge system, not a semi/auto hybrid. The advantages of using hybrid cartridges over pneumatics (assuming a friction breech is used instead of a burst disk)...

I'm impressed by your ability to guess the calibre from such a shoddy photo.

It is, sir, exactly, 1/2 an inch. :D

Brilliant! Thanks for answering.

Here's a peek at what I'm working.

P.S. Some of the parts are still in the workshop, hopefully they will be machined soon by my ever-procrastinating friend. :?

Okay thanks for all the suggestions.

I wonder if the connector and hose from a shock pump could be bought separately, if not it would be quite a waste to buy a shock pump and dissect it just for that.

How to inject MAPP through a Schrader valve?

Has anyone injected MAPP through a Schrader valve? I searched the forums for a how-to but couldn't find one.

Where is JSR?

Does anyone have a clue what JSR's up to or where he is? He's been missing for quite sometime already.

This is all very interesting and you're tempting me to build one. I did a quick google and found

http://www.fusor.net/

Is this where you got most of your information for building a fusor? Or are there other websites that are better?

Looks like Zeus went on a holiday... JSR, I'm working on something very similar to this design (I know you are working on an oxygen-version and I hope things are swell!) But I do have a question about this design, how do you intend to fuel your cartridge? Do you inject the mapp gas through the Schra...
