Well in my fairly casual capacity, where this is basically just a cool project - not being used for airsoft or anything - would a cloud get multiple bbs across a room in basically the same fashion as a vortex?

Would a cloud work here?

With reference to my work in progress here : Would a cloud design work decently? I have read around that with clouds they are less efficient air-wise compared to vortexes, but to what extent I have no idea. I was planning to use an inline vortex, but if a cloud would do just as well in this situatio...

All good, just need to keep pumping :D Its not like I want to use it in an airsoft thing like some people on here do. It's just a cool project to make, so as long as it works I'll be happy.

Yeah barrel was from Acorn Models. I pretty sure it was 9/32" round brass tube, the one I got was 36" long so enough for at least 2 or 3 barrels. I also don't really mind if it doesn't go crazy good, as long as it shoots bbs. If its not powerful then I can shoot people for harmless fun  Edits ...

Work so far . . . totally portable bbmg

I decided for my next project to make a bbmg and since I don't have an air compressor and have no plans to buy one I been trying to make a fully portable one that runs off a bike pump. I got the idea for a pump from kangsta's bbmg as well as kash munni's and having been trying to integrate it into t...

Air Blow Gun Inputs

This is a kind of basic question, but I honestly don't know so . . . I've got this blow gun here: http://www.sulco.co.nz/Product?Action=View&Product_id=21782 Could someone please tell me what size connections the inputs are for each end of the blow gun. They are both female threads. I've never worke...

Cheers guys, with a bit of design reworking I've got a non pressurised section to screw into, so as biggsauce said I wont have a magic screw shooter. Thanks for the suggestions though.

drilling holes in pressurised chambers

This is specifically applying to a bbmg, but it can be applied to anything that takes similar pressures so I put it here ... Is it alright to drill holes in a chamber that will be pressurised to around 100 psi with a bike pump? I would like to mount something on the side of my bbmg, using a bracket ...

Thanks for idea jimmy, but I'm using plastic bbs at the moment. If I ever use metal ones though that'll come in handy. Thanks

Thanks spudfarm, I really like your idea - seems easy and effective.
Though the ball valve suggestion's perfectly valid i think i'm leaning towards the balloon method for simplicity. I should be able to start building my bbmg this weekend, hopefully i'll be posting it pretty soon too.

Yeah, I totally agree with you guys about the topic, I was just checking I wasn't totally missing the ball somewhere.

Seems kind of annoying though, bbs falling out when you tilt it down. Anyone know a way to stop/reduce it, apart from the hopup or o-ring mentioned above?

question that's probably stupid

i was wondering: when you're carrying around a cloud or vortex that is loaded with bbs, wouldn't the bbs just fall out of the barrel if it was pointing downwards? i mean, there's nothing stopping them is there? or is it actually too hard for this to happen? thanks for some enlightenment :D

Wondering about this blow gun

I'm making a bbmg and I'm getting this blow gun here: http://www.sulco.co.nz/Product?Action=View&Product_id=21782 I'm pretty sure it'll be fine, but I was just wondering about the connections. The one in the bottom of the picture looks like female threads but I'm not sure about the connection on the...
