I asked mcmaster and got an e-mail back saying that plastic fittings are not pressure rated. So I'm kinda lost now. Can someone help me find a way to get from 3" to 1" using nsf-pw parts? Its pneumatic, none of my local stores have 3" reducers/bushings (home depot, lowes, ace hardware). So will that fitting from mcmaster be nsf-pw, I'm not sure how to tell from their description.

I do have that combination, but the coupling and the bushing are nsf-dwv. Can i still use them?

im buying a 3" to 1" bushing off mcmaster and it says it is NSF-61(im lookin for NSF-PW...of course) is that the same thing as NSF-PW or what? plz help

im positive...i left both ends of the tube open...put the little hose right by the spark...sprayed butane right on the screws while clicking the piezo..and it still didnt light...whats the problem?

man this is makin me mad..i put the butane hose right by the spark and it still doesnt even light..i put a new piezo in and it doesnt light..what the heck o_o


edit: to make the spark gap im using small screws....would the spark be hotter if i used something a lot thinner?

hmm..it is a very very old piezo...like..years and years..it was from an old lighter at the lake house :wink: , so ima try an almost brand new one. im also going to try some axe in it in a second UPDATE: lol the axe wont even light(i tried different amounts, i know how much to use due to previous mi...

but if im clicking the piezo while holding the butane trigger with the back part open, it should ignite. it is a cheap lighter..5 pack from the dollar store , how could i find the leak if there is one? also ima go try a newer lighter real quick

yeah i just did it and it didnt light..theres like a 1 inch gap between the spark and the butane valve thing. i can even smell the butane comingf out of it and it still doesnt light :roll: maybe the placement of the butane valve is in a bad spot but i dont think that would matter with the cap on the...

aight i tried it for 3-4 seconds and all the way up to 10 seconds..increasing by a second each time and still no luck. also the spark is a decent spark that is a bright blue. should i try some axe to see if that will light..because i havnt gotten it to fire once...

aight so i built this. it is a black permanent marker tube with a pentube for the barrel....and for some irritating reason..it wont fire at all. it sparks every time a click it and the butane flows just fine. i cant think of a single thing that i could be doin wrong....maybe some suggestions plz? ht...

how long do u hold down the butane trigger on the lighter?

i dont get what you mean, but it sounds like the small tip works

when you shot it, did it damage the hose at all, or did any flames get up into the tube?
