sorry ive been sick the past 2 days and havnt been able to do much. but i did try it out a few minutes ago and it worked fine. i tested a 100 psi and i opened it slowly and the potato didnt explode. but air did leak from between the valve walls and the potato.

maybe in propulsion. you have more air capacity so the projectile will travel farther. but 100 psi on a potato is 100psi. and i just need a small potato :)

well i have em both so i compare em regardless of price. and the whisper really isnt that much quieter. there is almost no noise from the air being released but the piston hitting metal is still pretty loud. and the whisper is much lighter.

we should break out the measuring thingys (sorry but the name is totally slipping my mind right now... those things that measure the velocity of the projectile?) and then we will see if its anymore efficient :)

well if you feel the need to "machine" a piston then go buy a dowel rod from a hardware store and start workin at it wish some sand paper. but really you dont need to machine a piston. and that whole giant ball valve breach/confusion thing really is way more complex than a sprinkler which is plenty ...

You should add a pvc chamber so you can pressurize to higher pressures without blowing yourself up. hes quite an experienced spudder so i think he is not foolish enough to take the pressure too high and he probably already knows that its stupid to take one near or over 100 psi. plus this isnt a ser...

Fahrenheit is linear, too. On a graph, if Celsius was "X" its graph could be f(x)=x. The line for Fahrenheit could be f(x)=9x/5+32. you will find that both are lines, and are therefore linear. but fahrenheit is still a measurement used in mainly in the US. kelvin is the widely accepted scientific m...
