I failed to mention that you will need to apply some type of epoxy to the top once you have sanded down the plastic. There will be a small hole in the center. You can't miss it once you've sanded it down.
kk thanks

pbpenguin5.. Same problem I was having... your mod is hendering the movement of the diaphragm AND what dewey-1 said above, valve is in wrong direction...lol On top of the valve, you seem to have the threaded 3/8" fitting tightened down to the nut, which would leave a few threads showing on the unde...

I got the idea for this of instructables.com with a guy who made a very similar sniper with a lesser size chamber that sent C02 cartridges like bullets.

my problem is the air isn't escaping simultaneously

It's 1in all the way through the chamber and the stock is 3/4 so that's not a problem

on the issue of the valve, what exactly do i clean out?

there wasn't a guide rod i don't believe, it's not leaking at all, it's just not dumping the air all at once like a normal ball valve does on simpler cannons. i'll post pictures as soon as i can, i usually post in school, like right now  and the stock is joined by a T fitting, one to the stock,...

Another Sprinkler Valve Problem

Ok i have the right kind 3/4 sprinkler valve modded to what i believe is correct. Everything works perfect, until i shoot it. the valve opens so slowly that the pressure is greatly reduced and the projectiles might as well fall out of the barrel. The only other problem i can think of is that i built...

What happens as you fill up the chamber with air, some of this air flows through a small hole in the diaphragm (equalization hole) and proceeds to fill up the the space between your trigger via your barbed fitting. Once this area has filled up, this pressure then starts to force the diaphragm down ...

I think what he means is that when he pumps it the diaphragm isn't sealing so the air just goes through. I would try using some white lithium grease around where the diaphragm seals. I know this is going to sound stupid, but where does the diaphragm seal....sorry i really have no experience with th...

3 shot cannon "design"

I'm going to try to describe this as best as I can. Picture three congruent cylinders about 1 foot long all lined up and strapped together. On one end your choice of filling the cylinders (i.e. bike pump, compressor, a valve type thing) and on the other a lever to release that gas or contain that ga...

Can give us more details about your cannon you are using it on? Pressure: Chamber Length and Diameter: Pilot Valve: Pilot Volume*: Pressure Source (e.g Bike pump, compressor, etc): * Is your pilot valve threaded directly into the valve or do you have it connected by a hose or other fittings? pilot ...

Ok don't kill me, it's actually a watermaster without a guide rod BUT! it still has problems, it equalizes before i can hardly pump it. It does have a minor leak where i drilled the hole for the barb but i really don't believe that's the main problem, I think it's somewhat defective.

Sprinkler Valve

Hey, I grabbed a generic type sprinkle valve at Home depot for 11 bucks without realizing it needed to be a watermaster or rainbird. However, it didn't have a guide rod and i didn't know any of this at the time. i already drilled the hole and did everything but it doesn't work. Is there another reas...

and

how did you resize that specific size barrel to 1" or so?

a paintball's diameter is .689 caliber, how is a .75 or 3/4 in. barrel fire paint at that velocity?
