Re: "Offtopic-posts-topic" NSFW
A really excellent video from 1969 following Master Gunsmith Wallace Gusler as he builds a flintlock rifle from start to finish using traditional tools and techniques: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTy3uQFsirk Seeing someone make their own screws using only hand tools makes you realize just how mu...

Re: Hybrid pumped weapon project
That's an impressive difference, there is certainly a lot more power potential, but really what I like about your projects is the functionality. Keep in mind that your post you name here is my bible on this. I not only remember it, I have it complete in a word, on my pc and on a DVD... It is exactly...

Re: Strong boy, (hybrid compressed to muscle)
Great to see it in action! Brilliant idea and execution, as we have come to expect from your stable and there's something quite nice about a single stroke of raw muscle power providing the compression.

Hammer & QEV Valve Questions
Hello, people of Spudfiles! This is my first bolt-action airgun, and I've no idea what pressure it requires. The rifle will hopefully shoot a 0.357 caliber slug out to 300 yards out of a 21-inch barrel, powered by a paintball hpa tank. I'm hoping to get maybe 600-900 fps. If I could get calculations...

Re: Single-pump handgun
Looks great! I like the cleverness of how it works, I can tell this has been through many iterations even without looking at the hybrid section of the forum.
Good work as always.

Re: Full auto qev pop off problem
Thanks for your help I actually made it cycle well by increasing the pressure of the air coming out of the preset. I now need to figure out how to prevent bbs from rolling out of the barrel, I m using an AEG magazine so there is spring pressure, the gun uses a blow forward valve to cycle the bbs. 20...

Re: Low price HPA "sodastream" bottle
That's cool but would it be better than something like this? I was actually about to pick up a tank and pump for a future project.

Re: Single-pump handgun
I plan to print them in 3D, when the time comes. That's good to hear, do you have your own 3D printer or have access to one? Something that I would like to try, is to build one with two cannons, which compress one first and the other later, and you have two shots, it would be a more interesting toy...

Re: Short question topic
It's not water, but if I pass a cotton ball through the inside of the barrel, it comes out quite wet. Putting some water in a sound suppressor to enhance the effect is a well-known trick for firearms, the fluid helps to cool the hot gasses and thus lowers the pressure. I would not be surprised if i...
