Re: pnumatic spud guns
OK, you're young, and you're enthusiastic. I'm old, and cynical, and jaded. Here's some advice. This is what's known as a "forum", and it's not even a particularly active one, even by 2024 standards. It's not instatwatbotik. There aren't 50 trillion twunts watching it for the latest news, poised rea...

Re: Small semi automatic hybrid project
Hi Jack ! You are always in the answers, to talk a little about these things. Thank you very much. It's really just as you say. Precisely, I was analyzing this issue of propellant spending today and it is high. I'll tell you what I found out about this. According to information I read on the interne...

Re: Small semi automatic hybrid project
A possible solution to economize propellant would be to use a single acting cylinder with spring return, and a solenoid valve 3/2. It is necessary to consider the strength of the spring opposing the force of the larger piston, in the compression stage. The consumption of propellant would be reduced ...

Re: Small semi automatic hybrid project
An ambitious project but having seen what you're made so far, I believe you can pull it off
Seems a bit wasteful of propane though, I don't think you want to be firing this thing in an enclosed space...

Small semi automatic hybrid project
Hello !! I was thinking about making a small, handheld semi-automatic. I will try my best to expand this idea Project of a semi-automatic hybrid, topic I planted In another post, but briefly. I have prepared some simple drawings To explain to me on this question. It works like this: 8) The propellan...

Re: Small semi automatic hybrid project
I still think that the compression ideally comes from a fixed source, like a spring or closed gas piston - because a hybrid combustion gives a lot of energy disproportionate to the compression of the gas mixture before combustion, and this energy can be used to reset the compression mechanism for re...

Re: help with semi automatic airgun
You may get away with no bolt at all. I have done that multiple times. Just seal the magazine with the barrel so that no air can escape. This makes the whole thing more powerful and simpler

help with semi automatic airgun
Hello there. I'm planning to make a semi automatic air carbine, but I'm not familiar with QEVs and air cylinder pistons, so heres two questions: 1- can I use this style of blow gun to divert pressure to the pneumatic pistol and thus push it forward? Or can I only do it with a solenoid 3 way valve? 2...

Re: help with semi automatic airgun
I did the piston thing with my 10mm, it ran off 2 valves, was pretty complicated for what it did but worked great.

Re: Combustion cannons
Assuming you mean PETN/ETN. Discussion of the use of explosives is not allowed on these forums, to my knowledge. Also, given the level of knowledge you have shown in your multitude of questions on this forum, I'd STRONGLY recommend you do not attempt to utilize this material.

Re: pnumatic spud guns
There is no way to use pressurized air as the energy source and not observe the pressure drop after use. An efficient system may be able to lessen the pressure loss, but it is impossible to eliminate it unless the pressure isn't what's being used as the primary propellant. Many people have used pcp ...

OK, I'm gonna hit you again, perhaps less gently. Quinn. What you are doing is not polite, and at best is creating cleanup work for the moderators. Generally speaking, forums have their own rules, the ones for this one are found here , but there's a more general set of rules that are assumed to be g...
