perfect fit epoxy pellet

i find a 7mm brasstube and made this epoxy/bb ammo. weight is 1,1g.
tell me what you think.
reproduction is easy but my cannon is not finnish.

how long did it take you to make them? They might be good if you could somehow put fifling on them

Hey, if you dont have rifling in your barrel this bullet might tumble when shot. Asthough I am not really sure. Just find out if the center of mass is past the middle line (upwards). The difference in distance between center of mass and center of pressure (created by drag on the profile). For a ogive cone like yours the center of pressure lies at about 0.466 of the cone length. Make sure ur center of mass(CM) is about a whole body diameter above ur center of pressure inorder for a stable bullet

btw can you help me... the mass of bb is 0,83g and dense of epoxy with all the little airbubbles is ~1,0g.
i found an programm to create modellrokets in german but the diameter is to small and it produce errors. i can´t use programm in english... my english is bad so the results are bad....
the big question is where the optimum length of the bullet is...
the lengt before and past the bb ist variabel!

my focus is to find out the best way to production these thing. this is the first step..
second step i need help..

and as for the ammo i would expect them to tumble in flight and if you want one that doesn't i suggest you create one the same shape as an air rifle pellet.

Whats all this whinning about double posts. This stuff is all really interesting! Hey jean a airgun pellet is made not to tumble.
As you can c on this picture the mass at the front is bigger then at the bottom. Oh yeah and about this program u used on that nose cone of a rocket. I used one before, it was in english though. Ill check it out for ya. But dimensions dont matter. Just make sure the programs cone is in the same scale (height/diameter etc)

I have tried arrow field points which fit perfectly in a brass barrel and they still tumble despite having a heavier front and a cone in the back. Unless the neck of the lead pellet makes a huge difference, then simply having a heavier front doesn't do enough.

ok i understand but i have a smoothbore airgun and shoot with airgun pellet it will 100% tumble. i can see it on target.
i must say it was flatheat diabolos like this (pic)
was made to give perfect hole on target (papertarget) and when tumble you can see it

my bullet have mass in front (0,83g bb) but im not sure that is enough

Its not about the mass of the bullet rather the position of center of mass. Use a rope tied to the bullet to find out where the bullet hangs horizontal. Measure that length from the bottom of the bullet. Then measure the whole length of the bullet. Post this data and ill tell u if this bullet is stable yes or no.

yup thats right.

and as for flatheads hmm i guess the flat head could cause it to tumble in a not rifled barrel so you should make a domed or pointed head

Im going to start making those from hot glue-at 10 cents a stick I can make them for a penny.These will be sweet for my catridge fed rifle.
