at my local trick shop you can get these 'exploding golf balls' they burst into a white dust cloud when hit with a golf club. soooo when fired out of a GB gun they would 'explode' on impact
ps: they dont actually explode they are made with compacted white powder of some sort with a glazing to make it look like a GB.

Chain shot and mouse balls. I wouldn't fire either of these at any kind of living target, except perhaps trees and shrubbery. Lamp chain fits down any kind of 1" or larger barrel, but requires some wadding.
Mouse balls now days are hard to find because most people use laser mice instead of the old kind. Good balls are made of a thin layer of rubber over a steel ball, roughly 3/4" in diameter. I remember those fit loose in a 3/4" PVC pipe, but the whole ball (rubber and all) fits nicely down some metal pipes.
If your barrel is rifled, the rubber adapts to the rifling well. Each ball weight about 1.2 ounces. In larger barrels it could be used a 000000 shot (sextuple-ought shot).

My interest on spud guns began when I couldn't legally buy guns.
Now its because my guns are too loud to legally shoot.
Its not like it was legal to being with, but they don't offer subsonic 7.62x39 or 7.62x54R. They only have subsonic .22 long. Thats no fun stuff doesn't explode.
