The truth with all AEG's. The only airsoft guns that are worth it in my opinion are gas blowbacks. The models that use HPA are especially awesome.when I fired it, it sounded like a cheap toy, even though the external is beefed up.

Hi fellow machinists.
I am adding a 4th axis to my CNC mill and need some advice on sourcing parts. I have the motor, gearbox etc, what I need is a 80-100mm self centring chuck that is mounted on a straight shatf, not MT arbour, so I can fit it to the gearbox.
I also need a tailstock to suit.
Having no luck in Oz, can my US or Euro cousins suggest a vendor ?

I've just trade my M4 AEG for a SCAR GBB, gonna use HPA for it and use a AEG hi-cap.The truth with all AEG's. The only airsoft guns that are worth it in my opinion are gas blowbacks. The models that use HPA are especially awesome.
I need to cut some o-ring grooves, what type of cutter should I use? For lathe of course.

Do you have one like this?
Otherwise you can carefully grind down one of these HSS blanks, making your own cutting tools.

parting blade? I do but it wasn't very handy, I was thinking maybe there are indexable cutters for outer and inner grooves

There are indexable O-ring groove cutters, but I like to use the tools I have at hand
All the O-ring grooves i've made are made with a parting blade.

All my parting blades are made out off HSS, I found them not hard enough for cutting stainless steel

What made you think they're not hard enough?
I've cut a lot of stainless steel with HSS tools, it may need some tinkering to get the cutting right tough.
What grade of stainless did you cut?

I can see the tip of the blade getting worn. However I have no problem drilling it with HSS drills. The blade it's HSS made in Germany so hope it's good quality.
Can't remember the grade, it was marked on the tube but i think I've already used that section.

Parting puts a lot of stress on the tool. Do it slowly and lubricate constantly with appropriate cutting fluid.
