My idea was originally to launch 70mm cans of food but now I'm wondering if the combustion exhaust is hot enough to ignite a fuse? I imagine it would be but I know propane doesn't burna s hot as allot of other things but surely it would ignite nitrocellulose laquer cannon fuse.

The issue I may perceive having is that the combustion happens too quick or with enough force to put the fuse out as soon as the payload leave the barrel.

I am used to reloading 37mm and 26.5mm munitions, I make flares, smoke screens, stars, etc.... some common problems are the fuses not igniting because of one thing or another, along the lines of what I mentioned. Most the time I might put 2 fuses in cut at an angle to expose the most surface area of BP inside it and use a primer composition around their base to make sure the prime burns hot enough to get the main comp burning.

It would be awesome to fill a soupcan full of smoke comp and send it into the stratosphere but I don't know if anyone ever tried it before.
