umm what? you don't have to put acetone on the pvc pie before bonding it.

props for learning a new language but I am very confused by what you just said...

It is recomend that you clean your pipe before solvent welding, and (at least in the United States) products (containing MEK and acetone) are sold for this purpose.
I often go as far as to pre-clean them with isopropanol.

Would body filler be a good substitute to use instead of PVC glue+primer for a Pneumatic Cannon? I used it for my combustion spud gun and it worked great even today its rock hard.

Body filler is no where near as good at bonding PVC as it only fills the gaps and unlike PVC glue doesn't chemically join the pipe.

Acetone can be used as primer on PVC, I do the following before glueing a joint; Clean both surfaces with methylated spirits and then prime with acetone then glue and join the pipe.

Pvc Glues and primers
all weld on products

Pvc 705 ( clear- shc40 upto 6" sch80 upto 4" recomend using P 70 clear or purple ( no differance between them) This is med body glue, when used with primer it sets fast dont screw up.

Pvc 711 Grey - sch40 and 80 upto 12", let set over night. Dont need primer but it can be used to creat a cleaner bond. This glue is heavy bodied sets slowly and can be messy.

845 is much like ans appoxy, but acrylic based, it creats a very strong bong pvc and metal, other plastics, fiberglass and concrete
