what is the best penetrating ammo you have made?
the best / most damaging ammo?
I would like to hear.
I talk about it a little too often, so most of you probably know mine.
I will try some suggestions, and post pics (maby a vid) of the results
I have gotten bored of some of the ammo I normally shoot, so that's why I'm doing this.
please try to keep the weight below 8 pounds, and the sizes are 4", and 2"
(3" is broke, and 1.5" has been canabalized). have fun, happy brainstorming!
oh, It may not be much, but I guess the winner,(the guy with the best idea) will get 50 spudbux.
(I love these sweet smilies!)

Ok well its pretty easy to explain but I'm bored so I drew a picture. For the 2inch barrel you could take a spare peice of 1.5 inch pvc and fill it with cement. Since 1.5inch doesn't fit perfectly in 2" pipe you could put caps on both ends and sand down the sides a little till it was a perfect fit. Or if you don't feel like doing all that sanding then just don't use caps and stick some wadding in behind it.

ok, sounds cool. I have done that kinda, but with a hydraulic cement filled Gatorade bottle. went through 5 sheets of plywood (35 psi). this sounds a bit more durable. I'll do it with three inch, since that would be more devastating, and fit in the 4" perfect /w/ end caps.

Yeah that sounds good I just thought of using it in the 2" because I don't have any 4" pipe to test how it would fit. It should be a bit stronger using pvc instead and you should add more of a point to the tip. For that you could just use a funnel or anything pointy for a mold and fill it with bondo. Then when it dries use screws to attach it on to the cap because I don't think the bondo will stick to the pvc enough.

well i pesonaly find wood cut to shape with a door hole driller and shapen the end but buy far my favorat is a bit of wadding and a hole pile of broken glass or nails they make the best ammo it tears thing into bits 8)
If you really wanna get detailed with this it might be better to go with pipe smaller than your barrel and add fins for stability and accuracy. Then just use a sabot. That would be pretty sweet to make a missile replica filled with concrete and a nice paintjob!

I ll just put a lag bolt through from the back of the cap. or leave it alone. I honestly don't think it would make much of a difference.

For smaller barrels you should use homemade nail darts.
They cant go straight through a hard back bodyboard
1:You get thin cardboard make a cone
2:Cut the cone so that it fits nice and snuggly in the barrel
3:Get a nail poke it though the end of the cone
4:Put a little hot glue behind the nail and wait till it drys
Its a good cheap acurate ammo
(sorry if thats hard to under stand)

You would have to make the cone pretty straight though for it to do any good.
{edit} Oh dammit, I was thinking of a small bore cannon.
Nvm I'll say it anyway.
A lead cylinder tapered at one end, using a hardened steel nail as the tip and core.
You'd need a mould of some sort, some lead, a blowtorch and some very hard nails. Use short nails and keep the heads on so they don't get forced backwards on impact through the lead.
Stick a decent pressure behind that and it would demolish a brick.

we've got some of those billiard/pool balls, no , a lot of those in our basement! (the table we have is a cheap plastic 5-in-1 one, that Is basically used as a table, nothing more. I will try that. thanks, Killa!!
the lead cone idea is good. i would use a hardened steel rod, and an nail, and I would sharpen it. I just don't really want to deal with the fumes. I like my life, I don't really want to screw it up over ammo . I will eventually do a variation of that.
