Hi me n my brother are in the process of fixing up two old laptops mine is a ibm thinkpad 240. i already installed xp sorta successfully. for some reason it wouldn't let me wipe the drive to do a fresh install of xp. this may be becuase the 240 doesn't have a built in cd drive (only a pcmcia one that can't act as a boot drive) therefore i had to create a new partition for xp and have dual os. my only other complaint is that the power management on xp always says its on ac power no matter what. if anyone can help me bypass any of these problems or has any experience of this kind any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. for those of you who have never seen a 24o before it is amazingly small, pretty sure ibm's smallest laptop to date. i love it's portabiltity and would love to get it 100% fixed.
