well.. when it's dark out.. and you and a friend are in dark clothes, with realistic looking guns, with paintball masks on, running around outside an old folks home, in a residential neighborhood, in the city... yeah.. it was a bad idea.. sadly.. the reason we did it.. was because it was dark, and the place had a HUGE lit up yard so we could see each other.. funny thing is.. we played a good hour before any cops showed up.. that's kinda sad actually..

what's even sadder.. we were just about to leave to go back to his house, and the squad cars rolled in. like not even 5-10 minutes before the cops showed up, we were about to go back, and then we decided to play one more round, and then leave, i paused a moment to call my mom from the cell and let her know i was at his house.. as i ended the call and went to put my cell phone away, they showed up.. good thing i took that time to call, cause otherwise i would have had mask on gun in hand searching for him to try and win the round.. and i might have ended up with real bullets flying at me..

that was a night to remember(as much as i try not to and don't want to).. 5 squad cars, lights flashing, and the officers that pulled up and saw me came out guns drawn as if i was a terrorist..

turns out. from what i could see on the laptop screen in the front of the car, that a neighbor across the street or something called about two masked suspects with handguns...

i ended up lucky and because i was 17 and it was close enough to my 18th birthday i got everything dropped with the consequences that if anything happened between then and my 18th birthday they would bring the charges back up.. not to mention i had a lawyer that was representing me.

my buddy who was 18 at the time ended up not so lucky, he got a 600 dollar fine, and 20 or 40 hours community service(my mind has failed me on the number).. not to mention we both payed 500 dollar lawyer fees.. oh and what sucks is that i had my cell phone out when they pulled up to arrest us, and they made me drop it to the ground, and it ended up getting scratched BADLY cause one of them dropped it or stepped on it or something, so my beautiful not even like 4 months old cell phone(at the time) that was in literally PERFECT condition, now has DEEP scratches on the outside face and some nicks on the back as well... thankfully it's a well built samsung and everything still works.

we ended up getting our airsoft guns back, but we wont do that again, that's for sure..

EDIT: the charges weren't even for airsoft.. they didn't care about that.. we got charged with loitering and night prowling as one, and disorderly conduct.

The Drozd is larger than your average CO2 pistol and even though it looks like a hairdryer (especially with the yellow furniture) it will doubtless attract the attention of customs.

Some countries like the UK have laws against automatic weapons over 1 ft/lbs in which case the circuitry is modified to enable semi-auto fire only.

I don't really see the danger in one foot pound of energy, unless you plan to shoot an apple in the eye a couple of hundred times :?
America, the greatest gangster of all time. With 200 million odd foot soldiers at it's whim and call.

It all depends on the rate of fire. One BB with 1 ft/lbs isn't going to harm you much. A 2 second burst at close range of BBs at 1 ft/lbs firing at 50 rounds per second will not be a pleasant experience.

I think I've mentioned this example before, take the 0.22LR round - a kevlar vest will just shrug a single shot off, but a burst from the American 180 at 1500 rounds per minute has been demonstrated to be able to cut through body armour.

You can't buy a complete kit but this site carries a lot of parts as spares if you want to order the essential bits. I don't know what their policy on exporting to Australia is though.

If i buy it over a long period of time in different parts i should be fine.

But oh no, all their spares are practically sold out.

if you work out the cost of spares and postage the price will make it more worthwhile to but a real firearm pistol off the black market. What you should look out for is check which parts you can fabricate yourself then order only those which are beyond your expertise.

Yes there are several froums but its prety much the same group of ppl on all of them. youl find "Radical" just about everywhere. JimC is the man that builds the barrels/co2/hpa setups
(the extended barrel that airgundepo is selling is actually made by him)
