You can build the 10 minute railgun for like a dollar :D

Won't get much power from a 1.5 V battery, though :)
Maybe one could use a bank of leyden jars for the cap and a large Wimshurst machine for HV input. Hmm... I'll run some numbers and maybe we'll have a project on our hands. Ok, my hands.

I think FiveseveN should be promoted to resident firearms expert.

And this question is for FiveseveN too, have you ever checked eBay? They had a lot of 10 2000v caps, I cant remember how many uF, but they were pretty big. THey were going for about 30 american dollars.

Thank you for your kind words.
If only I had the money... For, you see, the medium net income in Romania was 264 USD in October. So one could either buy 9 caps or feed his family for a month :D Plus, eBay doesn't ship to Romania (last time I checked). If it had, I would have bought an Alesis D4 drum module. They seem to be as easy to find as unicorns on this side of Earth :(
Anyway, 'nuff offtopic. In a nutshell, I have to be the DIY guy 'cause i have no choice.

Also, all of those explosions in the video are not from the artillery shell. The huge ones are from test bombs but not the artillery shell. Just incase u didn't know :P

that douse(sp) make sence cause how could thay get a camera there if it blew over a bus they probubly used a detailed modle and edited the camera speeds. at the end you get a quick look at what could be a move or documentary. isn't movie magic so interesting.

Ok don't want to be aprty pooper or anything but you know that ebaums world is probably the biggest "ripoff" sites in the world. Eric Bauman makes loads of money out of other peoples films and flash shows and stuff....

Buses are wide, relitivly light, and not anchored... it's not too hard to make a building that can withstand winds of a few hundred mph.

That film clip is the real thing, it's US Army training film. I seen it in school before most of you here were born. Ask your moms and dads about it, anybody older then 35 years old should have seen it in school as part of a documentry for science class, as Walter Brennen used to say in his western teevee show, The Guns of Will Sonet, "NO BRAG, JUST FACT" Thats one of my favorite quotes!!!
