That was a excellent article!! Wonder if she even would have noticed if noone told her!! That was priceless, gross, but priceless!! She definatly liked a little nut in her yogurt!!
Go Bruins!!!!
It's quite a pain in the ass. The deck goes on between the axles, and must be rolled out the side (can't just drive over it). And we really have no place to put it other than under the tractor.jsefcik wrote:ramses wrote:As a sidenote, last winter I had to push our 4WD tractor back into the driveway because my dad ended up slipping off plowing. I'm not sure if it has locking differentials or not.
In all fairness, though, it still had the 6' mower deck on it.
why not take the deck off for the winter? like derrrrrr!!!
i take my deck off right b4 winter

With winter coming on up there, remember chains may be required above 3,000 ft........Whips are always optional.

Totally offtopic, but that is what this thread is for.. I've arrived at the railroad and have the caboose for the night to myself. This place is out in the boonies, but they have Internet by satellite so the connection is a little slow.
The Caboose is great. i didn't realize how big they are. They always look so small on the back of a train. This one has water, heat, lights, TV, a fridge, microwave, stove, sink, and two beds. The upstairs has four seats to watch the scenery.
I arrived after dark so I didn't grab any photos tonight, but I'll get some tomorrow and upload a few.
I was in the barn and talked to the head honcho and got to climb all over the engine. It is full of water ready for the weekend. They will be lighting the fire in the morning, so I will need to install my project before they get a head of steam up, so I will be busy in the morning. I walked through the machine shop. Wow, they have a nice collection of tools. 3 lathes.. The lager one has a chuck about 2.5 feet in diameter. I'll grab a photo tomorrow. 8) I asked about using a drill press. They said to help myself.. One horizontal one is set up for boring. It is big enough to bore a cannon. Sweet.
My project is to install a battery charger on the steam engine for the 2 way radio. I customized a power supply to run on 32 volts. To prevent overloading and stalling the steam turbine for the generator, the supply is designed to shed load as the input voltage begins to drop.
The testing of the power supply is below. One shot is at about 25 volts in where it puts out no power. One is at a higher voltage in, and one is at full output due to the input being over 30 volts. The bulb in the photo is a 12 volt 30 watt bulb.

Seamless does allow you to build an onboard pump...
A nice feature to have I can tell you.
Combine the two..
If I wasn't so obsessed with completing a working lever action 11mm bb launcher I'd use a piston valve on it myself.
A 25mm barrel on it...
Big boom for all that pumping.
