I made a FAT treb last year... DYI called me out and said I wouldn't enjoy it... He was right. 100lbs of counterweight later and I finally through a water bottle about 100yds. Granted it probably wasn't tuned perfectly, I had a very nice angle adjustable release pin and everything on it.clemsonguy1125 wrote:Anybody else into trebuchets. Not quite the boom of spudguns but theres nothing like seeing a 8 foot arm swing a 4 foot sling with a 100 pound counter weight.
Concept:
98% finished (I did finish it, I just currently have any of those pics)
It was a fun project - but If it doesn't make a lot of noise - I'm suspicious...

I'm sure that if they had access to PVC pipes in the middle ages, the trebuchet would have never been developedmobile chernobyl wrote:DYI called me out and said I wouldn't enjoy it... He was right.

@Gun Freak,
Haha awesome, is that a fruit sticker from a kiwi? It's probably really obvious that it is but I've never heard of "southern kiwi" and we called it kiwi fruit so we don't mix the fruit up with our national bird
90% chance that a poor, New Zealand university student living on 2 minute noodles and baked beans picked that particular fruit
