NIU shootings scared me because i go to a highschool about a hour away and tons of people that went to my highschool go to northern. I know a person who was in the room at the time. Ive been outside the building that it happened it. Im just glad that everyone is alright that i know. I possibly woul d be playing football there also.

These guys always do it in the wrong order i.e. blast everyone THEN blast themselves, if they did the second step first the world would be a far better place.
I wouldn't let this get too you too much, bad sh!t happens all the time in this world of mere mortals.

Agreed, you probably have a bigger chance of getting caught in a shootout while out shopping than at school, and a much greater chance at dying in a road accident, so it shouldn't be high in your list of fears.

What you should be afraid of is the federal government using this tragedy to limit your constitutional rights.

Im not scared of a guy shooting up the place i was just saying a lot of people i know go there because i live only a hour away

I think you would vote for Ron Paul if you were from the U.S. He goes on and on about our rights, and how we defiantly should be able to own firearms, strange thing is his really anti war.

Interestingly the campus is supposedly a "safe" no gun zone.There we go, limit a law abiding citizen's ability to carry a weapon, only to get them blown a way by the guy who doesn't follow the law.Sounds a heck of alot like bureaucracy to me.

And the ACLU whines that its society's fault for selling video games and making guns so easily available(which by the way isn't that easy anymore).Anybody else see a problem with individuals actually taking responsibility for there actions?

There was a shooting at my school too...we got basement wi-fi access out of it.

The really F&*%ED part is the roaring silence of news services ,the medical community ,or any part of our goverment to mention the fact

Not a hard fact to check,Maybe some one will find a case where anti-depressants were not involved.

This is a general problem in modern western society unfortunately, and it's not getting any better

Both this shooter and the Virginia Tech shooter bought accessories from the same website.My guess is Cheaper than Dirt.I wonder if someone will sue Cheaper than Dirt if it comes out they sold to both guys?We all know how irresponsible firearm accessory sites are...*sarcasm*

Antidepressants may be a factor, but I'm guessing these types of situations usually boil down to bad parenting. Either the parents of the shooter or the kids that pick on him.
