As part of my travels in the Motherland I took the opportunity to visit this place. I had been there on my first trip but it was rather rushed, this time took a more leisurely visit and thought I would share some pictures of some unique items which caught my eye, enjoy

Very nice indeed! Wonder how long it takes to get the locomotive up to speed.

Love looking at war museums and such. Has anyone on Spudfiles designed a knife that shoots yet? I know we have a few ballistic knife designs. Combining a pen gun with a knife doesn't seem too hard...

Given the sort of loads these things usually pull I imagine it would have had a relatively small effect on performance. Also, that's nothing compared to the one they have at Kubinka that looks like a battleship on wheels!

Not to my knowledge. I had a little project with Jake for a knife that could shoot darts from its handle but that has been shelved for the time being.
Definitely on my list is buying a full size combat knife to make a big shiny f***-off ballistic knife to end them all
Here's some details of the NRS from elsewhere:

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have AA missiles and maps and, uh...

it isn't really about the first sentence - it's not your fault that your education system sucks...
But these two sentences:
Thats impressive.I am sure russians were also spying.
reminded me of this >>

All Russian "special purpose" weapons get my juices flowing, especially those that go "phutttt!"
And underwater pistol? Was it harmful?Muzzle velocity?
According to wikipedia it fires "fires a round-based 4.5 millimetres (0.18 in) caliber steel dart about 115 millimetres (4.5 in) long, weighing 12.8 grams (0.45 oz)" at around 800 feet per second in air.
Some idea of the damage it could caused can be seen looking at the similar but slightly larger rounds fired by other Russian underwater weapons, certainly not something you want to get in the way of:

Yeah,i checked the video
I thought its faster and this guy is shooting just bellow the surface.Velocity drops due to pressure increase. What is relationship between pressure and velocity?

What is relationship between pressure and velocity?
A better question might be: "What is the relationship between pressure and drag/air resistance?"
At greatest possible ranges of fire under water the pistol provides defeat of a target found in a diving suit with a porolon (flexible polyurethane foam) padding and protected by organic glass of 5 mm thickness.
