That'll make a nice inside-shooting-for-the-winter gun :)

Great job, it seems you have created one of the few large-bore cannons that don't look like a mess of parts.

It's nearly perfect, but it's going to need paint!

I actually stole that from somebody else, unfortunately I can't remember who it was.

Slick gun, that thing will pack a wallop.

great looking gun. that is exactly what i want to build. how do you seal the back plug. i see an o-ring and something else. also did u just drill holes and run bolts through to keep it from shooting out?

the back plug is a 3''nptx1.5''npt bushing(i use the npt x npt and not a slip x npt because it is more heavy duty)-- the yellow stuff is epoxy-- i put the bushing in a 3'' coupling and filled the gap with epoxy to give the plug good fit in the tee then used a file to put the o-ring grooves

first start by searching, then by reading the wiki, then search some more. isn't that complicated

Hi,

Wow, very similar in size to my own Orange Accelerator.

That´s a beauty! I like the chamber in particular.

Are u sure those bolts are large enough? I would have used a few more or a little larger bolts.

ya i used 8 bolts and they 3/4'' long x 6mm so i think it should be fine-- what do you have in your cannon?

Hi,

I used 12 * 6mm´s.

In another cannon, I had a 63 mm (ID) tee and 8 * 6mm bolts to hold the breech. That was too small / too few. There simply was too much (shear) pressure on the bolts when the piston hit the bumper; they started to deform the PVC. I have now changed that cannon to 8 * 8mm.

My rule of thumb (awaiting more verification - overkill or just right?) is now something like: Blot count * bolt diam. = tee diam.

ya maybe ill put some 8mm in there-- i used 9-4mm in my GB cannon so i was thinking 6mm would be ok but like you said overkill is not a bad thing - maybe ill even go with 3/8'' i have the room
