Not bad not bad. Should be in the How-To section though. I am just going to make a steel mold for lead slugs. Your technique is pretty cool but I would probably never use it seems to slow for me just to make one of them. But its just my opinion. Best of luck to ya. This will help many people out.

lol everything in california will cause cancer. Im not to worried i've eaten enough paint chips that it doesn't effect me much anymore.
This process is kind of slow but im going to buy a pot from the dollar store that doesnt have teflon on it and just drop a whole stick of lead in there. That should speed things up a bit.

Nice ammo there! Looks like it could cause a lot of damage!
By the way, great song, I love three doors down.

Please take a note of caution when doing that. When molten lead is poured down a long narrow cylinder quickly it tends to bubble and spatter vigorously. Trust me I learned this the hard way. I have the scars on my hand to prove it. So I would suggest to just keep on doing it the way you did in the video. it is plenty fast and is pretty safe. If you do use the pan only pour a small portion of it into the dowel at a time to avoid spatter. Good luck 8)

I just got a good idea thinking about safe ways to pour the lead. My dad has a lead melter pot and a casting kit made for musket balls for our rifles and handguns. Im sure we could modify it someway to do what we need. Then again this method is easy and relitivley safe. lol next were going to put a nail on the front and see what we can do to a tree.

here in the republic of Kalifornia, pretty much anything, including food, can cause birth defects or cancer. The Republic of Kalifornia is pretty much its own state, it just happens to be part of the US.
where is a good place to get lead? i know that some tire shops will sell you tire weights, but whats another source?

you should try your local sporting good store. They should have lead shot for target shotgun practice. Also you might try a hobby store. They may have lead weights for soap box cars. brplatz and I got our lead out of an old airsoft gun of his. It was in the magazine for realistic weight. You can also get it buying it at a stained glass shop.

Or since you live in Cali, then you should go for bismuth.
It melts relatively low as well and it should be available to you. Look for "Eagle Claw" non-lead fishing sinkers. Those are bismuth.
