QEV problem
He is filling it from the pilot side, the Co2 tank empty, and that is what he uses as an air chamber, and if you look, you can see the male QC connected to the ballvalve behind the blowgun, so hes got it right, so I would just say exchange it for a new one.

Ok, so you are using the kind that you can open up with a socket wrench, so just open it up and trouble shoot. Clean off the O-ring and piston face.
second of all, your chamber is about 100000 times to big, and the regulator fitting or what ever that is is going to make it pointless to have that huge tank there. There is no real advantage to having a chamber with a larger volume than your barrel (which is next to nothing.) Also, your pilot volume is waaaay too big, so the valve won't actuate very quickly.

I can shut it off. There is a knob that you unscrew.
I also tried using a empty 12 gram c02 canister with the adapter and it seems to be shooting about the same.
I filled it in from the "in" side today and its working pretty well. im pressurizing it at 120 and it only dents the bottom of a coffee can. Does anyone know what i should do to make it shoot harder?markfh11q wrote:You're filling from the wrong side of the Q.E.V. You should fill from the pilot side.
Also, how do you shut off gas flow from the ASA adapter? You have to be able to shut off gas-flow from it to be able to pi

You didn't read my post did you?
also, 120psi isn't very much... and a coffee can is hard to do anything to. Try shooting soda cans, and you will see some difference.
Decrease the volume of air on the side that has the blowgun and fill valve, and it will work better.Lentamentalisk wrote: Also, your pilot volume is waaaay too big, so the valve won't actuate very quickly.

ya, that would help.
check out this for inspiration.
Also, you can cut down your chamber size, you really do not need a huuuuuge bottle attached, a 6" length of 1/2" pipe, or what ever really is more than enough, and will save you hours of pumping.

I just use a compressor. And when i get air from the next time i go paintballing, ill prob just regulate it down and use that. Well, i was planning on using some empty 12 gram cartridges for my chamber because i have the adapter and and everything. So instead of the 20 oz c02 tank, do you think the 12 gram will be enough?

well see the problem is that the flow out of a CO2 cart, through the adapter is very low. Just use a small section of pipe, like in the cannon I showed you. Look around at what other people have done in the pneumatic section and BBMG/Strafer section (you need to look at only the single shot ones there though...)

sure thing. Is your QEV still leaking though? How fast is it leaking?
