First try at a pneumatic gun
I like the breach loader. You might want another screw there.

Shouldn't the breach load hole be bigger? That means: the whole diameter.
Very nice so far.

it is bigger then the golf ball tryed to load it and had no problems
But how well does a golfball fit in your barrel?
How many mm is there (on both sides) between the barrel wall and the golfball if you put it in the muzzle?

If you look at the green part in the pic (Link Below) The Golf Ball is 42.4MM and my sleeve adaptor is 42.9MM. The hole i use is 44.6MM seams ok. I just push it in with my finger. Used balls work well because they are distorted a little making the a tight fit. If you have any question or would like a scale drawing let me know.

Well Gun is DONE!! Will test it some time later this week, hope it works. Johnyboy was right I need another screw on loader, picked up gun and sleeve slid and pinched my finger, opps. For people who may build one out of SCH80 this thing weights 25LBS. But I am planing on 125-130psi. If any one has a good ideal on and semi automatic I have parts for one more gun but could make changes. This gun will be given to my friend who milled all my parts. Thanks for all the suggestion, Jim

Nicely done!
GL on testing. (CK he didnt test it yet so he does not know the power of it, though you could make a rough estimate for a well made gun of this size)
Looking at your pictures, your golfball does not fit perfectly, there is a few mm between the ball and the pipe wall.
Your barrel is SCH80 2" right? That does not fit golfballs perfectly unless you fit SDR21 pipe in.

...just thought Id let you know that barrel is spell like that<<< not to be a dick...
"<I>For dare to be peace, I have to keep at it everyday, da Man doesn't take days off so neither can I</I>" -<B>Bob Marley</B>, day before a performance, a day after being shot in the chest. "<I>If you are the big, big tree, we are the small axe, ready to cut you down!</I>" -Bob again :brave:
I just thought I'd let you know that you add -ed to a verb if it is past tense (spell - spelled). Don't correct people if you need corrected yourself.daxspudder wrote:...just thought Id let you know that barrel is spell like that<<< not to be a dick...
On another note...the gun looks great! As mentioned above, to shoot golf balls you will either need sdr 21 or use a wad/sabot.
It needs to be as tight as possible.jimschouster wrote:were can I get that? McMaster-Carr? How tight does it need to be?
Airtight fit is the best, but as this is not always possible, you should really fit it as close as possible. One or maybe two mm difference in diameter isnt that horrible, but it does decrease performance.
You could also use wadding or a sabot to make up for the difference.
