I just near-finished my first pneumatic which was a standard over-under design with a pressure gauge (will post cannon later).

Specs:

2"x3' Air chamber
1" Sprinkler Valve with a standard blowgun
1" Barrel

--------------------------------------------------------
Before i had a sprinkler valve, i used a ball valve for triggering, but at 40psi i was able to shoot a metal bolt into my oakwood tree. Now its stuck and i can't get it out.

Anyways, i took my cannon to 60psi (with sprinkler) and then my cap blows off (I didint prime and cement it). After that happened, i noticed my blow gun was sort of untwisted and when i tried to torque it, it would not become tight again.

Some questions:

1. Is my airchamber more than the sprinkler valve can handle?
2. Should i invest into a 2" sprinkler valve to create a better flow of air?

I am pretty confident the sprinkler valve set-up was done fairly well. I might suspect there is a problem with my choice of parts. Sorry i can't post pics today, my camera requires some repairs. What do you guys think?

my darned cousin jacked my air chamber full of water. Its a pain in the butt to get out since the sprinkler valve is already taped with teflon

Somewhat hilariously, because of what it quoted, it sounds rather sarcastic.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
