My brother has gotten interested in gun design recently and came up with a design of his own.
(I recommended he should build a simple piston Tee valve actuated by ballvalve, but he insists in building something "raw")

His design uses a burst disk, a chamber at a lower than burst pressure and a second chamber connected to the first, with holds a lot higher pressure.
He also desperately wants it to be a double barrel ( 75 mm each!!)

Crazy if you ask me

So that would make the combined pressure of the chambers 15 bar?
What is he going to use for the burst disk. I think it is a bit overkill making the barrels 75mm each.
Forever dreaming...

Thats some damn big chambers for two 75mm barrels.

Im going by this gauge i have. And it says that 10 bar is 145 psi so 20 bar has to be 290 psi wow thats alot. I might be wrong though.

Thanks, that clears it up.
How are you going to get 290 PSI?

With my special high pressure bikepump. The high pressure reservoir will be made of metal and will be slightly smaller.

I agree the barrels are overkill..

I could build him a much better iston valve cannon with a single barrel...but he wants to do it this way...
